valentine ; bam bam

Start from the beginning

'I'm joking Bam,' you giggled, looking at the offended look on his face. 'Besides why would I need a photocard collection of you when I already have a living you, annoying the crap out of me every single day?"

'I love you too,' he mumbled pulling on your hair playfully as you swatted it away. 'I can't believe you just insulted me on Valentine's Day,' he said. 'And I had this whole day planned out for us too,' he sighed, draping an arm around you which you shrugged off, and tiptoed to pinch his cheeks.

'Hey!' he swatted away your hand laughing.

'Don't be a big baby,' you teased. 'I'll go get ready for this 'planned day' of yours' you said, air quoting with your fingers, as you went back to the bathroom to freshen up.

Coming out, freshly showered and clothed in a hoodie that you might or might have not swiped from your boyfriend's closet (hey, it was huge, warm and oversized all the best qualities a hoodie ought to have) and black leggings, topped off with a pair of comfortable sneakers. Just giving your hair a quick brush through, you didn't bother doing anything fancy with it because a) you were lazy and b) Bam Bam preferred it unstyled anyway, it always gave him an excuse to play with it.

'Come on,' you bounded towards him, bright eyed and bushy tailed as he gave you an appreciative once-over.

'Is that my hoodie?' he asked, tugging on it raising an eyebrow at you.

'Maybe,' you smirked, before changing the topic entirely. 'So, what is this fabulous plan that you have for us?' you asked, this time actually curious.

He rolled his eyes to the ceiling in exasperation but hooked his arm in yours, taking you to the living room.

'I thought we were going out?" you asked quizzically as he motioned for you to stay seated.

'I don't think you would want to after seeing what I have for you,' he grinned, a sparkle of excitement in his eyes. 'Now,' he said firmly. 'Close your eyes,' he demanded.

You raised an eyebrow at him and both of you had a miniature staring contest before you finally sighed, giving in. 'If you're going to do something weird Bam Bam I swear JB is going to know about this and then he's going to kick you out of my apartment,' you said warningly, already threatening your boyfriend with the mention of your brother.

You heard him scoff and his footsteps lead away to somewhere. He came back in 5 minutes carrying a huge red box, which wasn't wrapped and looked far too big to be carrying any sort of conventional Valentine present.

'Okay, you can open your eyes but don't shake the box too much,' he said, putting it down on the floor as you slid down to sit cross-legged next to it.

Making sure to be very careful, you untied the bright blue (coincidentally your favorite color) ribbon and opened the lid, revealing the contents of a box to be a beautiful, wriggling husky pupy which, once freed leaped out of the box and right into your lap, pressing slobbery kisses all over your face while you squealed in delight.

Ruffling its puppy -soft fur, you could actually feel your heart swelling in delight at the sight of the puppy, as it licked all over your face making you glad that you hadn't put on any makeup. Soon, you managed to get the puppy under control although it was still wagging its tail excitedly, burrowing in your lap.

'He's adorable,' you squealed, tearing your eyes away from the puppy to your boyfriend who looked incredibly satisfied with your reaction to his gift.

Sliding next to you, he ruffled the puppy a little bit as it turned its attention to your boyfriend who seemed to take quite an interest in his cologne, as he sniffed your boyfriend's shirt tentatively before sneezing, shaking its head, making its way back to you.

'Well, she definitely has good taste,' you grinned.

'It's a he,' your boyfriend rectified.

'Well, him then,' you grinned hugging the puppy as it barked happily in your embrace.

Bam Bam sighed, running a hand through his ashy grey hair. 'I shouldn't have given you the puppy,' he pouted, his lips pulling down in a frown.

'Why?" you asked completely aghast, shifting the puppy away from him as if he was going to snatch it from your arms.

'Well, you're going to pay more attention to him now,' your boyfriend complained, as he slipped an arm around your waist, vying for your attention as the dog licked his face, painting it with dog slobber.

'Ugh,' he grumbled as you laughed loudly, head thrown back, as you watched Bam Bam wiped the dog saliva away with the sleeve of his shirt.

'Ew you smell like dog now,' you wrinkled your nose, pushing him away playfully.

'Well so do you,' he countered as he leaned in to peck you on the cheek, but you shifted your head so it landed on your lips instead.

'Thanks for the perfect Valentine,' you grinned, scratching the puppy behind its ears.

'Your welcome love, as long as you love me more than him,' Bam Bam said, ruffling your hair.

'We need to stop calling him, HIM,' you laughed as the puppy, gazed at you with icy-blue intelligent eyes, its head cocked to the side in confusion.

'We could call it Double B,' your boyfriend offered, while you rose your eyes in exasperation.

'We are so not calling it that,' you laughed, hitting him on the leg and both of you continued to bicker over the small details of the puppy's name as it barked and wagged its tail happily.
