Danny wasn't really sure how to act around Rose after the kiss. All he could see when he looked at her were the expressions of horror on everyone's faces after it happened, and all he could feel when he was around her was her lips on his. It was quite odd that after all that time they still hadn't talked about it. It was a little bit of a taboo topic-as almost everything was-and so it was never spoken about.
Danny was getting a little sick of it. Just a little. He wanted to know if she reciprocated his feelings, because he was definitely feeling a lot of things.
She didn't seem to want to look at him, so Danny was taking that as not a great sign. Whenever he tries to meet her gaze she would quickly avert her eyes, focusing on something else. It was quite annoying since all Danny wanted to do was look at her.
Rose was still confused about the whole thing. Did Danny actually like her? Or was the whole thing just part of the dare, a meaningless act that she was dwelling to long on? It didn't seem meaningless to her, but Rose had no idea how Danny felt about it. That's why she wanted to talk... But she couldn't bring herself to.
It wasn't that she was scared of Danny, per say, she was just scared of what she might find out. It was nerve wracking, thinking that he might actually like her the way she liked him.
So yes, talking was nerve wracking and absolutely terrifying, but completely worth it.
