"Of course, Gabe. I'm planning to," he kisses the temple of my head.

"Please step aside Mr Rosemary," I didn't even notice the nurses at the door.

"Yes. Yes. Please take good care of my son."

Soon enough an Asian woman appears at the door and a nurse says, "Please go back. It passed visiting hours."

"Oh, I got permission. I'm Gabriel's personal doctor," her grin have something suspicious behind it but I can't quite put my finger on it.

"I don't care what kind of permission you got. It passed visiting hours and that is f-"

"Doctor Vang, how nice it is of you to finally visiting my son?" Gray makes out the sarcastic sentence.

"You're such a comedian, Gray. If I didn't know better, I would've never guessed you're a famous actor for playing serious roles on the silver screen."

"Sorry, let me talk with her for now," Gray says to the nurses and goes out with Dr Vang.

The nurses give me a few shoots before asking about my knee and my health. I tell them my knee is fine and no itch so far. My health is also okay.

Then they explain a few things before going back out and wishing me a good night.

Gray returns with Dr. Vang.

"How do you feel?" Dr. Vang asks me.

"Okay," I reply.

Gray puts his whole body on top of me and hugs me tightly, "I was so scared. I'm happy you're okay."

"Ouch, my knee."

"Ops, sorry," Gray gets up with a smile. He looks so handsome.

"Well, then. I'll be going now," Dr Vang declares.

"Thank you very much," Gary says as Dr Vang goes out the door.

"When can I go home with you?"

"Tomorrow morning," he kisses my forehead again.

"I will be going home with you right?"

He pulls a chair beside my bed and holds both of my hands in his, "Yes. You will be going home with me."

"You won't be mean to me right?" Tears begin to form in my eyes and my body shivers all over.

"No, I won't be mean to you," a tear drops from his dry eyes. "You are my precious treasure."

"Are you sure? Will you spend time with me and not lock me up in your basement?"

"Yes. I'm sure that you are my precious treasure and I won't ever hurt you. I will try my best to spend time with you and I will never lock you up in my basement," another tear drops from his eyes.

I see that there are no devils within him and his words are genuine. Yet, I could not help but ask for reassurance.

Soon enough, the sun rises above the horizon and its rays peek through the mesh styled window blinds.

Before Gray takes me to our home, the Ferns-Turners show up. Dan is very nice and with Gray besides me, I now have a parent I am proud of and feel the urge to brag.

"Good morning Glenn, Ellie, Carly, Freddie, Dr Ferns and?" I notice the small child in Dan's arms.

"Her name is Annie," Carly bursts out.

"Annie? Is she..." My voice trails off as Freddie's face becomes sour.

"Why don't we all get breakfast here? I heard the ice cream is really good," Gray offers.

"Yes. That'll be great," Dan smiles.

Gray, Dan, Ellie (physically sticks to Dan), Carly, and Annie (also physically sticks to Dan) all sit together in one booth.

I sit with the two very different yet very alike brothers who can pass off as twins. I can sense Freddie's eyes avoiding me.

"So, how's your knee, Gabe?" Glenn tried to break this cold silence.

"It's okay...and how's school? Is today not a weekday?" I ask as I eat my hash brown.

"Oh, it's Thanksgiving break-that reminds me, what colleges have you applied to?" Freddie still won't look at me. Although I am sad, I kind of prefer it this way.

"Um, not much. You?"

"Don't be like that," like always, I feel like Glenn is simply wearing a mask, "tell me where you have applied to."

"Um. I'm kind of embarrassed to tell you that, Glenn. I mean whatever school I end up with, I'll always be a year or two behind you-"

Freddie slams the table suddenly and all the noises in the cafeteria stop. All eyes focus on him.

Without apologizing or anything at all, Freddie gets up and walks away from us.

"Does Freddie hate me now?" I quietly ask Glenn.

"I don't think so. He is just mad at himself. He'll be the annoying Freddie you know and love in a few days," Glenn laughs.

"What? No," I shake my head.

"Sorry, could you hold Annie for me?" Dan asks Gray who nods. Once the transaction is done, Dan goes out of the cafeteria to his son.

"You guys have such an awesome mom," I accidentally mumble.

"I agree. I love my mom. I could only hope my stupid dad could see that much," his face stiffen and with a single blink of the eye, his posture returns to normal. "But I can do nothing about it."

"I might be too nosy here but who's Annie's biological mom?"

"A very unknown teacher who goes by the name of Vai Forman."
