Chapter 59: Ditch

(Silver's POV)

It's been three weeks since I've woken up and since then I'm fully recovered from bruises, cuts and broken bones I've get from the beating. I started to fix Aeris to its running condition because it was also beat and I didn't attend to it for the past weeks as I was confine privately in the hospital. Some are just few and shallow dents and I need to upgrade its application so that will take time.

"Silver, you should take a break, you've been working on Aeris since you've been discharge." Ken put the tray of food in the nearby table.

"I think I should take a break, I'm also hungry. Thanks Ken." I leave my work and walk toward him as he leans the table.

"The Insignia is already in the move, so what will you do?" I froze in my step when he said that.

"There is no change of plans..." I bluntly said and bit on the sandwich.

"Okay, so how about your friends? Did you talk about them?"

"There's nothing to talk about to them, isn't it? And besides, we've talk about this."

"I'm just worried...."

"About what?" I asked without looking at him.

"About you, are you not worried about them?"

"I've already decided a long time ago, Ken. There's no point of stopping here, all I've done will go in vain. And that's the last thing I'm gonna do."

"You sure about that?"

"Ken, let's sto---."

"You love him, right? You love him." I felt that words can't come out on my mouth.

"I think so too, so why letting him go now? You've found a new happiness, why throw it now?"

"You know I can't be really happy if I haven't get my family's justice."

"Justice, revenge is all about you, but you haven't get your justice to yourself. You deserve happiness too, Silver. Don't let it go away."

"You know Ken, I can't do that. After all what happened, I don't deserve to be happy in the end. I just ended up losing my love ones over and over again. That's the thing I don't want to think."

"I understand what you feel. But Silver, they are the people who loves you, you're not letting them go, you're pushing them away from you." After that he left with heavy steps.

Am I that selfish? I don't want to get hurt. I don't want to get them hurt because of me. Once is enough, twice is too much for me to handle. Rescuing them was a mistake and I should bear the consequence. I let my emotion drown me. And I won't let that happen again. I seek for revenge the only justice of my family's murder. In order to do that, I need to throw away everything, everything that always remind me of being me again. Because I hate myself, I hate the same me. I hate my weak self. I hate being like that again. Being me is the most painful I've experience. Being me is what I want to get rid of. Throwing everything, pushing people away is what I'm good at. I don't deserve those things, I don't deserve to be happy. Ever.

After that fateful night, Kouji ajhussi help me cope up together with his family, Minyoung ajhumma and Ken. In order to erase my traces, I decided to change my own identity to protect myself from the claws of Insignia. With the pendant Sinner gave me, I went to the safety bank in Seoul. It holds a device that can read contains of the pendant. The device is called Digital Code that father made by himself. With the help of the applications found in the pendant, I easily change my own identity and hide my true self from the world. The pendant contains the history about the Realm, the true identity of father and where we came from. All the information of the former members, blueprints of advance weaponry, chemical formulas of drugs and medicines, the locations of the wealth and riches of it that the Insignia for their own world domination and slavery. The pendant was the key to it. That father tried to hide, and risk his life to protect it from the wrong hands. As they entrusted it to me, I have to do everything to protect it from Insignia. They don't have the right to get what they want. They are greedy people they kill people for money. They destroy the lives of many people and become the devil themselves. They took everything away from me, and that fueled me to get my revenge. I will use every means to get them destroyed. That's the only thing in my mind, to destroy Insignia.
