Chapter 38: Speed

(Meter's POV) 

I was finished taking a short shower when I heard a knock in the door.

"Who is it?"

"It's me." Said the voice.

"It's unlock nee-chan." She opens the door and walks towards me.

"What's getting unto you this time? Haven't you had enough?"

"I receive a message from Mr. Principal." I turn my back and face the mirror.

"He called in this kind of night? It's already morning." It's already 1:00 o'clock in the morning, and I can't even sleep so I decided to refresh up a bit.

"Something been caught up in this past few hours."

"What is it all about this time? It must be very important."

"Yes." Silence. A minute before she can speak.

"Tzuzuhara U wants to battle the prominent Seika U." I was stun a bit, but I compose myself from the shock.

"What do you mean, they want a battle from us?"

"Two of the Seika's students been caught from illegal racing and the one who framed them was from the Tzuzuhara. As a ransom they want a battle from you, to crash you."

"What's the catch?" I remain calm.

"They gonna televise all the secrets of our family, not only us but all the Emperors and Empresses. All of you." My eyes widen by what I heard from her. All our secrets, that's mean they know it all? I can't let that. Those things can't be known by the people. It will be a disgrace on our part.

"They want us to lose, is that it?"

"No." She firmly said with a serious tone in her voice.

"You know, they will do everything even risking lives just for their sake. Don't underestimate them. I already called a ferry early in the morning, so you better pack up." After she said that, she walks away. No way, what will be there situation if everybody knew it? I know we take care of our name so that our dirty secrets will not be leak, secrets that have been long gone but keeps on hunting us. The others will be devastated by these. They don't want to know about it, not even Jiro.

(Ayaka's POV) 

We wake up so early in the morning because of Meter nee-chan's announcement.

"Nee-chan why so early in the morning? We haven't eaten breakfast yet."

"Food will be serve in the ship, and you better hurry." There is something wrong with Meter nee-chan today. As if she can't compose herself and very terrified. I think something bad is happening today. But I don't know what.

"Kannon nee, what's with Meter nee?" I asked.

"I don't know, she's been like that when I woke up a while ago. I mean this is serious, let's ask her." We already pack our things and went up in the ferry that will lead us in the main land. We are already dining at the restaurant for breakfast, but Meter nee-chan won't eat with us, she said she was busy, when suddenly we heard a hysterical scream.

"What do you mean now!? You can't do that now!" We all went where the voice is coming from, and we saw Meter nee-chan holding her head and frustrated at the same time.

"We are on our way right now, can't you wait!?" She was conversing in her phone.

"I can't back down and you know that. Just wait and I will crush you in the ground." After that call, she put back her phone at her pocket. Kannon senpai was the first one to approach.
