Chapter 30: Resolute Self

(Alexis' POV) 

'Forget that boy and do your task immediately before you fall deeply in love with him. Don't allow yourself contain that kind of feeling. Because in your life that thing doesn't exist, it will never exist. There is only hatred in your heart, nothing more. So eradicate it in your mind and also in your heart.' That thought keeps ringing on my mind until now. My mind already decided but my heart don't cooperate to comprehend what my mind thinks. I almost forgot what I've come this far. I can't move deeper to this relationship anymore. The more I get nearer to them the more I forfeit my promise is. After I found that person, I will leave this place for peace. I've decided that before I came here. Alexis Hirasawa was just an illusion, her existence is a lie to begin with and her identity is a fake from the beginning. Her existence will be forgotten when she disappears from their memories. That's right, I don't have a life, memory or even my existence. All this will disappear like an ash taken by the strong wind. 

"Alexis, are you ok?" My thoughts bring back to the reality when Meter senpai spoke.

"H-Huh? What is it senpai?"

"Tsk tsk, you are spacing out all of a sudden. I thought you were drown on your deep thought." I chuckled to hide it.

"I'm sorry I must've been thinking something." Senpai give me a mistrust look.

"Is that the only reason? Then why are blushing?" I step back out of surprised.

"Eh? How can you say that senpai? It's just the reflection of the sunset to my face, that's all." I lie.

"Well, you can say that. It's almost dinner time. Let's go inside before you get cold." I tail Meter senpai inside the mini restaurant where the others are located. I realize that we were the ones who were aboard in the ship. Isn't it a bit weird? I sit beside Meter senpai facing Jiro. Jiro!? The memories of the scene keep rushing in my mind. And I felt that the atmosphere is getting hot. When I look at his eyes, he looks at the other things and avoids contacts with me. That's what I felt also. I have to avoid him as much as I can. But isn't it obvious that I'll be keeping my distance? Well, what if I will try to act like the way we do? Right, that's the best way. I'm sure he will too.

(Ritsu's POV) 

We were eating our dinner today. And I notice something is wrong with Alexis and Jiro awhile ago. The two of them were avoiding each other and they were both quiet at the entire time of our trip. I know that what was going on but I sense that there is something between them. Have Alexis notice what Jiro feels for her? Maybe I'm wrong. Jiro is not that kind of person to say his feeling to someone not when he act on it first. I'm very sure of it.

"Senpais, there is a sauna here in the ship." Ayaka said excitedly.

"Eh? You're kidding." I sarcastically reply.

"I'm not lying senpai, there is. Alexis and I saw it too, right Alexis?" Alexis just nod.

"Well let's go sauna after we eat dinner."

"That's quite an idea Ritsu. I need some relaxation right now." Meter senpai said. I suddenly feel that there is someone staring at me, I turn to see that Kohei is looking at me. But I suddenly look away. I don't know why I did that but my body unconsciously moving on its own. 

"Ah! It's so refreshing here!" I stretch my arm while soaking in the hot water.

"You are right Ritsu, it's good to soak here longer." Kannon senpai said.

"Isn't it great senpai, that the boys let us here. I think they like it here too." Ayaka spit out.

"Well, there's nothing we can do about it. We were the first to use it. And why do you think that Ayaka?" Meter senpai assumed.
