Chapter 4: Unexpected Calls

(Alexis' POV)

The day ended so fast, after my last class I went straight to the hotel where I used to live in. The taxi drop me by infront of the Tokyo Hotel. I strode in the hotel's entrance and the receptionist gave her greetings to me as she usually used to every time we meet and I too. I waited for the elevator a few moments, as I heard the signal and two old couples went out of it, after that, I went inside and push the button of the highest floor of the hotel. The elevator went higher to the floor, it stops at the 100th floor. The door opened for me as I glide out and walk straight at a red-carpeted floor. I shook my hand to my bag to look for the key of the room, I stab the key to the keyhole and turned it to unlock the door. An empty room came to my sight. It has complete sets of furniture, rooms and other appliances. It was decorated with pastel pink color with dark shades. The widows are wide enough to see the sight of the whole Tokyo city.

"I'm home." I said plainly.

I put my bag at the large sofa as I lay down my back comfortably and I closed my tired eyes.

Cring...Cring...

The sound of the telephone echoed in the whole room. With lazy hands, I grab the phone and place it to my ear.

"Hello? Alexis." His voiced rang my head as my lazy thought brought to clearness. It's been a while since I heard his voice.

"Ken, you've called." Ken Toujou, son of my father's friend.

"I'm sorry, it took me a while to call you. So how's your school. Is it great in there?" Ken scoffed.

"I know, it's ok with me. Well it turned out great." I replied.

"Did you meet new friends? Are they nice to you?" I chuckled to his questions.

"Don't be ridiculous Ken. Yes, I met new friends, and they are nice to me." Well I cannot say they are my friends, maybe more than a companions or acquaintances.

"That's great! Even though I'm not there with you, I don't even have to worry about you."

"I know, I can handle myself."

"Sorry, maybe in few days I can be with you soon. You know, I have to handle our company first."

"Don't worry about that Ken, I understand. Also, you've helped me so much through the years. And I'm grateful for all your help."

"I know, you needed our helped so much. And we can't abandon you, can't we?" I smiled for he said. It was 'them' who helped me in this past 2 years. They are my second family.

"Thank you, Ken"

"Don't worry about it. I'll see you soon, ok?"

"Right, I'll see you soon. Bye!"

"Take care, bye!" I put down the phone. I got up and changed my clothes. I opened my bag and took out my notes. I borrowed Ayaka-san's notes for me to follow the class. Her notes were neat. I can't imagined she actually studying. Maybe I should change my first impression on them, they somewhat nice to me.

And if ever, if ever they find out who I am, well maybe that will never happened. After I found that person, I will leave this place. And I can't have a strong bond to those people, I can't involved them, now that I'm ready to take my revenge. Suddenly a familiar sound echoed in the room vibrating inside my bag. I pick up the phone and I saw the caller was Ayaka-san.

"Alexis-chan! Are you busy right now?" Ayaka asked.

"Why do you ask?"

"If your free tonight come with us."
