Chapter 16: Music in my Heart
(Kohei's POV)
After I talk to Alexis-san, I went straight to the practice room where we rehearse. I just sit down and cover my face with my palms.
"Kohei, where have you been?" Takami asked.
"To Meter senpai." I wiped my face with my palms.
"Then, what did she say?"
"She already found substitutes for Richito and Tatsui."
"That's great. Then, we don't have to cancel the performance on the festival then."
"Yeah."
"Then, who are these new band members?"
"Ritsu and Alexis-san." Tamaki's eyes widen in disbelief.
"You're kidding, right?"
"You heard me." His face suddenly change and formed a big smile.
"Wow! I can't believe it!" He gets near me and pats my shoulder.
"We are the lucky guys, Kohei!" I glared my eyes to him.
"What do you mean by that?"
"You see, they are girls. It is the first time that we have girls to be our member. Say, do you have a girl member in you last band?"
"Uhm, yeah."
"They are our lucky charms." He said cheerfully while jumping like a weirdo, then suddenly the door opens and he suddenly stops. I saw two familiar faces.
"We are here to practice." Ritsu said without an expression on her face.
"Welcome girls! I'm so happy to be your company." Takami said and laid his hand to them. They accept it and give a handshake.
"You too." Ritsu said.
"Say, your Alexis-san right?" She faces Alexis.
"Yes, senpai."
"Just like the humors say, you are pretty and cute. I'm Kinata Takami, 3rd year, engineering student . Nice meeting you." Alexis give him a smile.
"Then, let's start practicing." He raises his hands to make the atmosphere more cheerful.
(Alexis' POV)
"Ritsu senpai, what instrument are you playing?" I asked Ritsu senpai while roaming in the room.
"I'm playing piano, so I think I'm assigned as the keyboardist."
"Wow, senpai you're playing piano too? I wanna hear it." She laughs lightly.
"Fine, but maybe next time."
"Hai. I'll look forward to it senpai."
"Girls, come here." Takami senpai called us.
"Let's discuss about the songs we need to perform in the festival. But, there is one song that we like and we need a female singer here."
"Why don't Ritsu senpai sing it?" I suggested.
"Hmm, it can be. If Kohei permits it, how about that Kohei?" Kohei senpai was all silent and Ritsu senpai too. Why are these two spacing out? Takami senpai pats his shoulder and Kohei senpai look at him in surprised.
"What did you say?"
"Why are you spacing out all of a sudden Kohei? We don't have much time to idle by. I said if Ritsu-san can be your duet in your song."
