Chapter 54: Broken Diary

We are the image of a perfect family. However, not everything is perfect. For some of the things we believe was true was all lies. We live in a world full of lies. People create it. Moreover, people suffer to it. How can we survive to this kind of world? There is no world more painful than this. I used to live in a dream, that turns out to be the biggest mistake of my life. We are living peacefully and happily with my family in Seoul, South Korea. My father, Lear Klein was an architect to a big company. My mother takes care of us. My unnie (big sister) was studying medicine for she wants to be doctor someday. My oppa (big brother) wants to take up engineering after he graduates high school. Sinner and I were still in high school. Sinner is my twin brother. Even if were at the same age, he always take me as a younger sister. He always protects me whenever there is someone bullying me in school. Appa always takes us to school before he went to work. Moreover, we go home together. Everything was perfect, for so I thought. When you thought everything was perfect, everything will be taken away from you. I know my parents background, they never hide it from us, even though that information can kill us all.

Appa was the head architect of the company he works. He was one of the best and I love his works. The company was headed by Robert Collins a famous businessman. He owned large designed companies and other art related industry and one of the richest men in the world. On its 32nd anniversary of the company, they prepared a big celebration. It was launched on the 9th day of September and also Sinner and I birthday. At that time, some of the famous businessmen and famous people gathered in the place and one of our family was invited also. The party was grandiose and extravagant, a mirror of greatness and richness. There are many people also personalities chatting to each other. Some are arrogant, sophisticated, educated and high-class societies. Mr. Collins gave his welcome remarks and his inspirational message for everyone. At the latter part of his speech, he presented their new project of the future construction. It was a pure glass building with 101 floors overall. It was appa who designed it himself. He called for my father's name in recognition, as appa went on the stage all the people was clapping joyously for him, and were very happy. Appa gave his short speech that dedicated to us, and we are very proud of him. After that was a big buffet for everyone, we are at the center of the hall.

"Appa, I need to go to the bathroom." I exclaimed to my father.

"Do you want me to escort you there?" he asked.

"I'll be okay by myself appa." I replied.

"Okay then, you can go. But don't make us wait."

"Arasso, appa!" I got up from my set and went out of the hall, as I went to the eastern hall where the ladies bathroom is located. As I was striding the big hallway, I accidentally saw Mr. Collins talking to a man in black tux, someone suspicious that I didn't even know or seen in the earlier event. They were talking secretly so I followed them as they went to Mr. Collins office. I trailed them swiftly as they went in. Because of my agility, I went in without their notice. I followed them until they reach a secret passage behind one of the bookshelves. The shelf move as it opens a wide doorframe, they went in as I also. The room was large decorated with mannequins of some famous ancient people like, Confucius, Alexander the Great, Genghis Khan, and even modern people like Michael Jackson, George Bush and others as a perfect replica. I went into hiding when I heard soft voices talking in some distant.

"I want a report from you. Why are you still keeping them alive, Collins? The orders are clear from The Sky that the moment we confirmed their location and identity we should shut them down for good." the black man exclaimed to Mr. Collins.
