Intertwine (Strings of Fate) Chap. 47

"W-What is it? I can't believe this." I cursed.

"Why is the Principal have this information about our family background? And under this folder."

"The biggest question is, how is it connected to us?" Sho calmly said.

"Right, now we need to get back to business, we can deal that later." I went back to the files lock. I tried to think hard but my mind was blank.

"Can't you think of other things?" I ask frustrated.

"If you can't, how about us?" Kannon mock.

"Yeah, right." I let out a frustrated sigh. I place my fingers on the keyboard and I stare at the unusual folder we opened a while ago.

"This must be an anagram"

"Huh? What do you mean, Meter?"

"This LISVRE thing..." I jumbled the letters in my mind.

"SILVER!" Jiro said.

"Yes! That's it!" I hurriedly type the word and puff it opened.

"Hey! It opened!" I cheerfully said.

"After a hundred year. What is the password?"

"Silver" I answered shortly.

"Really? But what is it by the way?"

"Don't know, maybe some kind of name." I answered.

"I think I heard that somewhere...." Kannon said. 

The next morning was a big disturbance in the school.

"They said someone set up fireworks at the school last night." A student not far away spoke.

"Is that so? But who would planned for it? And it's not a season to put up fireworks like that." Another student commented. I can't hide my smirk by just listening to them.

"Ah, Meter-san, I think there were some students putting up a prank in the school." Principal P approaches me while frowning.

"I bet there is some, Principal P."

"I'm getting old but I don't want to leave this school in this state, I'm pretty worried though." I give him a shy smile before speaking again.

"Don't worry Principal P, it won't happen again."

"I guess so, I have trust in you, thank goodness there's nothing bad happened." And then, he left me standing. But I have a bad feeling that something will happen in these days, something that I can't foresee. And I'm nervous something about Principal P, why doesn't he shows that something had happened. I know by now that he knows what happened. I left him a note in his computer. But, he didn't even questioned it, that was so wrong.  

"So, what is our next step, huh?" Kaname asks. We are at the Empresses and Emperors room to held a meeting again.

"I can't think of anything." I sigh deeply.

"What's wrong Meter? You seem restless this day."

"I thought so, Principal P is bothering me right now."

"Then, does he said something about last night?"

"That's what bothering me, he doesn't."

"What? What does that mean?" I sigh again and sit straight.

"I left him a note, but I guess he doesn't seem to notice it or more, he ignores it."

"Hmm, that's a problem then." Kaname said.

"So what is the next plan, Meter-senpai?" Yuji inquired.

"What's bothering me the most is the Insignia thingy. What is that connected to Alexis in the first place?"

"Why don't we search some evidence?"

"Yeah, I think we can find some." Ayaka spoke.

"Yeah, I know, but if it is a mafia we were talking, I bet it's too risky and dangerous."

"We already involve ourselves, senpai." Suddenly Jiro spoke.

"What?"

"The time, we infiltrated those files, we already involve ourselves, and much to our surprise maybe it has connection to us. Why do our files was lock from our reach."

"You are right Jiro, so we can't escape this, we have to be very careful from our steps from now on, because we don't know what will happen next." Sho said.

"Now that it comes to this, our next mission."

(Kaname's POV) 

"Kannon, where are you?"

"I'm sorry I'm late, I'll be there in a second." After flipping back my phone, I leaned again at my car waiting for Kannon to arrive. After a couple of minutes I saw her running from the taxi she get in.

"You're so late." I mock.

"Sorry, I slept late last night." She breathes heavily before walking with me. We entered at the huge building infront of us.

"So, can we get some information here?" I asked.

"Hai, if it's about that, I think there is some connected incident around."

"Ok." We stride straight to the reception area and ask the librarian.

"Good morning sir, ma'am. How may I help you?"

"May we see the international newspapers archive 2 years ago especially in South Korea?"

"Let me just check that sir, please wait a minute." After a few minutes of waiting, she comes to inform us.

"You can access the archives at the fourth floor in the right wing, the international newspapers are in there and you can also access the computer there."

"Thank you." We bid our goodbyes and we went straight to the elevator to take us up at the fourth floor. We went to the right wing of the building and opened the large door making our way inside the huge room where all international newspapers were compiled.

"How can we finish these all?"

"Baka, only those newspapers two years ago that we can search."

"But that's also much, how many newspaper are there in a year, what more in two years?"

"Oh! You such a lazy man."

"And handsome." I added.

"Don't give me that crap." She said turning away, but a grab her wrist fast and she twirl. Her shock expression gives butterflies in my stomach. The next thing I know I kiss her in the cheeks. Her eyes grew big and her cheeks flush in red.

"You're so cute." I commented.

"Y-You pervert!" She pulled her hand and rushing through the bookshelves.

"That was a goodluck kiss!" I shouted and the sound echoed inside the room.

"In your face!" She shouted back. I went to the computer and browse for the internet.
