"Come on," he held his smile and ushered me out of the crowded train.
As it turns out, he had planned to take me to theme park.
I'm pretty sure I read somewhere his dream date was something like this.
I was actually excited because I didnt remember the last time I went, and I had always loved the atmosphere of theme parks. Always so vibrant, cheerful, and innocent. It was like you could let your everyday lives and worries melt away with a day of fun.
And we did just that.
We went on the roller coaster, the spinning tea cups, and the tower drop ride, before I was dragged to the merry-go-round by a way too excited Taehyung.
As we walked around in the winter sun, drowning in childhood music and the smell of freshly baked apple pie, while eating our cotton candy, I caught myself staring at him a couple times. And every time he turned to look back at I abruptly looked away.
I didnt dare hold my gaze.
"They still have a haunted house!" Perked Taehyung as he found another attraction he wanted to try.
"OH HELL NO!"
"Aww come on!!! It'll be fun!"
"NO I HATE HAUNTED HOUSES!"
"Please Y/N?" There he goes with his puppy dog eyes again, "I'll hold your hand the entire time and I'll go first!"
"..Fine" I managed after a minute of silence. He had been so nice to me, I didn't want to say no to him. And besides, it shouldn't be that bad. This was a children's amusement park right?
Wrong.
As soon as I walked in, I immediately regreted my decision. It was pitch black and eerie music was playing on full blast. Drapes dangled from the ceiling were obstructing the path as every step felt like someone, or something was touching you.
"Su-sunbae.." I meekly called out. Taehyung was infront of me and I reached out to grab the plaid parka he was wearing today.
"It's okay," he turned to hold my hand as I welcomed it with a fearful grip. "There's nothing he-"
Just as he tried to calm me down something jumped out from behind the wall. With a piercing shriek, bloody drags, and long untamed hair, I had no idea if it was a man or a woman. Just that it scared the crap out of me.
Letting out a scream, I dug my fingers into the visuals back.
"OH GOD! OH GOD! OH GOD!" I panicked and closed my eyes and just followed the man infront of me.
He laughed nervously as he wiggled past the 'ghost', and kept going.
Too afraid to know what lied beyond the haunted maze, I kept my eyes shut as the screams and horror music played in the background.
I felt a squeeze from Taehyung before hearing him say, "I think we're almost at the end, there's a sign."
Relieved to know this hell was coming to an end, I walked a little faster to get out of there. I saw the exit sign hover over a creaky set of double doors and kept going forward.
As I took my next set of steps, I felt someone grab my leg, causing me to eat the floor. I screamed as I panicked over what had just happened and struggled to get up. The hand that had gripped my calf was refusing to let go of its bruising hold. Kicking and screaming I was doing all I could to get away from whatever was holding me back. It was dark and Tae was no longer in front of me. I was alone, in this god forsaken place. I felt tears streaming down my face as I clawed at the floor in desperation. Soon the grip released me and I got up as fast as I could and sprinted towards the exit.
