Chapter 18 - Truth or Dare 🔥

Start from the beginning

As the chaos escalated around me, I sat there and tried to rationalize what I had heard.

There must be some sort of explanation right?

The more I thought of Hanna having spent the night with Jimin, the more it hurt where my heart was. I had this harrowing feeling in my chest that wasn't going away.

Even I never got that far.

Did something happen when I left them at BigHit? Did Hanna actually fall for his advances?

No.

If anything, Jimin must have taken advantage of her.

Jin was right about him.

I knew I should have listened to Jin and not gotten involved with him. Even Jimin was honest with me from the very beginning. He said that he was just having fun, and I was a fool for thinking otherwise.

I felt so silly asking him about his feelings in the broom closet. Oh, so silly. He was clearly using me like he did the last girl.

You're an idiot.

After a while of just going back and forth in my head, I realised that whilst everyone was giving Jimin a hard time, Namjoon and Jin were both looking at me. Their brows furrowed and their lips parted without a word.

I hated it.

I knew they felt sorry for me and I didn't want their sympathy.

Against all odds, I managed to plaster a smile on my face, mouthing 'I'm okay' to both of them.

My next thought was to make sure Jimin didnt feel sorry for me either. Gathering up all the strength I could possibly hold, I had to show that, atleast on the outside, I was fine.

"Well if that's true, I'm happy for you guys." Despite my soft voice, I sounded pretty convincing.

The room grew silent at my remark and time slowed down as I met Jimins eyes.

His playful expression turned tense as lines formed along his forehead. He was looking at me with his deep brown eyes, piercing right through me. They were widened, and from that I could tell he was slightly surprised at my statement.

Why wasn't he defending himself?

Why wasn't he denying it?

Jimin looked as though he wanted to ask me a question, but all I heard was silence. His pupils dropped left and then right before meeting mine again.

He was uncertain.

Finally, after what felt like a never ending pause, he pushed his hair back with his hand and closed his eyes.

"Thanks," sighing, his eyes were back on me now. His smile almost identical to mine. "I guess.."

To my delight, the Jimin teasing continued after that and no one seemed to realise what had just happened between us.

I exhaled and took a shot of alcohol from the coffee table nearby. Apparently someone had lined up an array of alcohol in shot glasses; it was an invitation to pick your poison. Finishing the shot in one go, I reminded myself to thank that person later.

It was Taehyung's turn next, and I was starting to feel the buzz of the alcohol.

"Dare." He confidently said. "I want to do a dare with Y/N!"

Whining like a little boy, he winked at me when we made eye contact.

"Hey! What are you trying to do to our assistant?" Scolded Namjoon in leader mode.
