Nino x reader- So I could talk to you more

Your P.O.V

"Please (Y/N)?" Marinette begs.

"I already told you no, I have too much to do" You told Marinette.

"But it's Adrien's birthday!" She exclaims, throwing her hands up.

"So?"

"But he's never had a real birthday party before! And Chloe isn't going to be there! You have to come!"
"Uh, remember last year?" You remind her.

"That was from an akumatized Nino, it didn't count! Please come with me!" She was begging you to the side of your desk, on her knees.

"Why are you bothering me about this? Go ask Alya" you point out.

"Alya can't, she's taking care of her grandparents like 5 hours away. She said she wouldn't be able to make it." Marinette grumbles.

"Then go ask Juleka or something, you guys are friends, right?"
"But whenever I'm around you I can actually talk to Adrien! It's a sign (Y/N)!" Marinette declares.

"I don't believe in your superstitions" you answer.

"Please?"

"But Nino's D.Jing!"

"C'mon, please, for the good of all anime?" Marinette asks you.

"Fine, but I'm only going for the good of anime"

"Yes!!!!" Marinette began dancing around your room happily.

"Fricking telling me to meet her at the front and doesn't show up on time, goddammit" You mutter as you spammed Marinette the alphabet on your phone as revenge for not showing up on time.

"(Y/N)! There you are!" Marinette exclaims happily.

"Where were you?" You kind of demanded from her.

"Oh, Ladybug and Cat Noir had to fight off an Akuma. I was hiding in an alley until it was safe. Sorry" she explains.

"Mhmmm" you say sarcastically.

"Alrighty! Let's go into the party then!" She grabbed your arm and dragged you into the party. You put your presents on the table and went over to the food.

"Hey dudes! The King of the Party has arrived! Put your hands together for Adrien!" Nino announces, Adrien came in and everyone cheered.
"Hi Marinette" Adrien greets.

"H-hi Adrien" she says shyly.

"Hey (Y/N)"
"Happy Birthday Adrien" you greet, not happily, but not unenthusiastically either.

Somehow Mrs.Shysalot got to casually dance to normal music with Adrien on the dancefloor....somehow. You hung back, not really interested in dancing. Your eyes drifted to the D.J booth where Nino was DJing. You guys locked eyes for a moment before you swiftly looked away, tucking some loose strands of hair behind your ear. Sure you liked him, but whenever you guys hung out whether it was by yourselves or with friends it was always super awkward. You both would never come up with anything to say. Which made it even more awkward! You shyly glanced over and saw Adrien whispering something in Nino's ear. Nino shook his head and Adrien practically begged him like Marinette did with you earlier. Nino gave in and Adrien took over the D.J station as Nino walked down.

"(Y/N)! Did you see that! Adrien and I were dancing! Together!" Marinette fangirls.

"Of course I saw, it was hard not to see" you replied.
