Zuko x Earthbender! Reader part 2- May I have this Dance?

A/N: Doesn't Zuko look hot in the picture above?

It's been about a day and a party was announced throughout the palace for that night. You were forced to stay in your room and get ready for the festivities. A small group of maids helped you get ready for the party. You wore a beautiful (F/C) dress that made your eyes seem bigger. Your hair was done in a fancy braid and had some light makeup applied.

"I don't know...doesn't this seem a little...much?" You ask, inspecting yourself in the mirror.

"No way, you look amazing! Every guy there is going to have their eyes on you!" A maid squeals in delight. Nagi had her own little outfit and was perched on your shoulder. I don't care about that, I just want Zuko to notice me. You thought, after the last finishing touches you were all ready to go. When you walked down the stairs, you noticed that all eyes were on you. Which kinda freaked you out because you weren't used to being the center of attention. When you got to the bottom you were met with a smiling Zuko.

"Hello Prince Zuko" you greet, putting you hand in his.

"I've told you (N/N), just Zuko" he replies, guiding you to the dancefloor. You saw Nagi playing with Momo in the corner.

"(N/N), may I have this dance?" He asks.

"Forever and always" you answer. His face brightened and you two began gliding across the dancefloor. You saw Sokka and Suki, as well as Aang and Katara. Toph was dancing with a guy who looked really scared. You almost felt sorry for him, of course all this was in the corner of your eye. All your focus...or most of it because you were watching you friends, was on Zuko.

"You look beautiful" he says, pulling you closer to him.

"You look very handsome yourself" you reply.

"Thank you" he says to you, for no reason at all.

"For what?" You ask, really confused.

"For trusting me with your secret, for coming with me to join the avatar. All of it" he replies, twirling you before bringing you back to him.

"I trusted the others with it to you know" You reply, knowing Azula was still a fresh wound for him.

"Yes, but...when Sokka and I went to Boiling Rock to break out his father...when we were escaping, Ty Lee and Mai helped us. I still remember what they said to me. Ty Lee said, 'Zuko you better take care of my sister'."
"And what did Mai say? Weren't you two dating?"

"Just before Ember Island we broke it off. That's when I met you, Ty Lee talked a lot about you when we were kids."
"She did? How embarrassing" you looked down at your toes. Zuko tilted your chin back up.
"It was all good things, and when she told us you were coming with us....that's when I realized I fell for you, hard. Without even knowing what you looked like. Mai told me,'You better not break (N/N)'s heart or else I'll stab yours.'"
"Isn't that a little dark?" You ask.

"But it's true, the day I break your heart would be the worst day of my life so Mai may as well. I love you (N/N) and even though I'm doing my duty as King. You are on my mind 24/7, when Aang told me how you felt as if we were drifting apart I arranged this party so I could see you again."
"Wait, how did Aang-?"

"Water tribe baby!" You heard Sokka shout across the room. Katara must've told Aang who then told Zuko.

"Zuko...I don't know what to say except...I've been thinking about you all the time too" you reply. He smiled and you saw a royal adviser walk up to him and tap him on the shoulder.

"King Zuko, an issue has come up, you are needed in the conference room immediately" he said formally.

"Ok, give me a minute and I'll be right there" he replies. The advisor bows before walking away. Zuko turned to you.

"I'll be back soon (N/N)" he says.

"I'll be in the garden...waiting" you reply, he placed a gentle kiss on your forehead.

"Until then" when he disappeared within the crowd you sighed and walked out to the wooden bridge over the koi pond.

"You know I have never seen my nephew happier in his entire life than in that moment" you were interrupted from your thoughts by General Iroh. (Idk what his name is after the series so we're just gonna go with General)

"General Iroh! What are you doing here?" You ask with a little bit of shock.

"Seeing my future niece" he replies, making you blush. Just the thought of being married to Zuko made butterflies go wild in your stomach. It wasn't out of fear or nervousness, it was out of excitement.

"Y-you really think I'm the one?"

"Of course! Like I said before, I have never seen my nephew happier. Do you think your the one?" Iroh asked, standing next to you.

"Yeah, but I always thought that Zuko would realize that there were better girls than me out there that he could marry to." You reply, it was true to you.

"Your thoughts are unneeded, I could tell in Zuko's eyes you are the best girl this world has to offer."

"Uncle, what are you doing here?"

"I was just talking with your future bride to be" you could've sworn Zuko's cheeks flared bright pink, but you couldn't tell because of how dark it was outside. Iroh looked between you and Zuko.

"Oh I see, my work is done here" and with that he left. Zuko took Iroh's place and held your hand. His thumb gently caressed circles on the hand he was holding.

"My Uncle is right, in my eyes your the most perfect girl I could find. Even if I searched to the ends of the Earth" he says, breaking the silence. You looked up at him.

"You heard that?" You ask him.

"Yes, I know I'm ready to spend the rest of my life with you and I would understand if you didn't want to marry me now. I'll wait until your ready, whether it's just the span of a few months or a few years."

"I can't imagine a few years, a few months is fine. After all this is only our second date"
"Second Date? What was our first?"
"Dancing at the Air Temple" you reply, kissing his cheek.

"You missed" he comments.

"What?-" He cut you off by kissing you on the lips. You responded immediately, it was just as blissful as the last.

"I love you (N/N)"
"I love you too Zuko" you reply with a smile on your face.

~Extended Ending~

From that day on you and Zuko lived happily. Every anniversary you two would take a trip to Ember Island then the Western (I believe that's the temple they went to for shelter) air temple. To relive old memories and rekindle the love you both shared for each other, even though it did not need much rekindling. The End.

Sorry about the wait, but now I finished my second two-parter. It's a little shorter than the last one and I apologize because I had very little inspiration at the end and I tried my best. So, yeah that's a wrap.

Natsu: Wrap? Where?!

Happy: Does it have fish!?

Me: NO!!!! I was saying the chapter's done! What the hell are you guys even doing here?! This isn't even your universe!

Natsu: But there's a chat series....

Me and Zuko: NATSU!!! YOUR DEAD!!!!!! *chases after Natsu*
Erza: *Walks in* I'm not even going to ask
