Chapter 45 - The desired end

"Kyle." I took a glance at Stella who's standing beside the door frame of our room.

Hawak hawak ko si Katherine sa aking mga bisig habang mahimbing itong natutulog. I saw Stella smiled.

"Where is Kloe?" tanong ko.

Napa-iling iling siyang lumapit sa akin at saka niya hinimas ang ulo ni Katherine at ngumiti siya sa akin.

"You're ready." She said. Napakunot ako ng noo.

"Where is Kloe?" I asked.

"Tulog na rin." Ang sagot niya.

Wrong answer.

"I did not asked what is she doing. I am asking where is she?" I said..

Palagi nalang ganyan. Tsss.

She suddenly laughed out of the blue. Napakunot na naman ako ng noo. Is she even in her right state of mind? Baliw na ata siya.

"Why are you laughing?" I asked.

Umiling siya. "Nothing." she said na parang pinipigilan niyang tumawa.

"Where is--"

"She's in the crib. For goodness sake. Wag kang OA Kyle." She cutted in saka siya ngumiti at napangiwi nalang ako nang maramdaman kong pinipisil na pala niya pisngi ko.

Silly.

"Next time, answer my question correctly." I said then naglakad na ako papasok ng kwarto.

I looked at Kloe na mahimbing itong natutulog sa kanyang crib.. I smiled. She looks like her mother, just like Katherine. Katherine and Kloe are twins. My twins. Agad akong nagpunta sa crib ni Katherine and I slowly lowered her down para ihiga sa kanyang crib.

"Slowly." I heard Stella whispered.

"I know." I said.

She giggled. "You're cute." She said.

"I know." I answered.

"You're too high." She said.

Then I successfully laid Katherine on her bed. I opened the electric fan and closed the aircon.
