*Marshall's POV*

Tears rolled down my cheeks as I gazed down at my beloved in my arms.

I could see the light in his eyes fading.

He was dying.

And fast.

"Gumball!" I called for him.

He weakly brought his lips into a small smile as his eyes met mine.

But he was so distant.

And growing further away.

I started to panic.

"What do I do?! What do I do?!" I panicked as I watched my Bubba fade away.

'Give me to him.' Lucifer told me.

"What?! No!" I denied him.

'Yes! That's the only way to save him right now! Put me into him! I won't let him die!' He continued.

"But his body won't be able to withstand a demon's soul!"

'Marshall! He's dying! Do it!!'

I was running out of time. I racked my brain trying to make a decision.

"Gumball, please don't die!!" I cried as I launched forward and pressed my lips on his.

I channeled my magic through Lucifer inside of me, and used it to push him out.

My lips heated up, as did Gumball's, as Lucifer's soul separated from mine and flowed out of my mouth and into Gumball's.

I pushed the magic further and forced Lucifer's soul to embed into Gumball's body.

I clenched my eyes shut as I prayed for this to work.

My lips finally began to cool down, with Gumball's following.

I felt his body lurch.

I slowly pulled my lips away from his and sat in the impending silence.

After what seemed like an eternity, I slowly opened my eyes.

Beautiful sky blue eyes gazed back at me.

"Marshall..." a whisper made its way to my ears.

It finally hit me.

"GUMBALL!!" I screamed as tears burst forth, renewed.

I wrapped my arms around his body and pulled him into a tight hug.

I was afraid if I let him go, he'd slip away once more.

"Don't leave me ever again!" I cried into his shoulder.

I felt left hand slide up to the back of my neck, and his right hand began to softly pat my back.

After another eternity of me weeping all of over him, and receiving reassuring pats and rubs from him, I slowly stood up.

Holding out my left hand, I gazed down at him.

He gave me a small smile as he took it and I helped him stand up.

I heard a yawn behind me to the right before someone spoke.

"Huh? What the hell happen-?!" A voice asked, before being interrupted by a grunt.

I turned around to see Collin standing over an unconscious Ned, his hand in a fist looking like he just hit someone.

My eyes fell down to Ned's cheek where a large pinkish-red outline glowed.
