*Gumball's POV*

Pain. Sore. Pounding.

My head hurts.

My eyes slowly opened to a pink ceiling. My pink ceiling.

*THROB*

"Ah!" I quietly whimpered as I shot up, hand cupping my head.

After a moment it faded and I looked around my room.

Nothing out of place. No damage. No Ashley.

No Marshall.

"Marshall?" I called out a bit more quietly than I wanted.

No response.

I pulled the covers off of me and swung my feet over the side of the bed, preparing to stand up, when there came a light knock at my door.

I cleared my throat. "Yes?" I asked, louder than before.

The door opened and Ned peeked his head in.

"Hey Gumball! Feeling any better?" He asked.

"Not really. My head hurts." I responded, rubbing my hand around my temples.

"Hm, okay, well if you need anything, there's a banana guard outside your door." He said, before closing the door.

"Wait! Ned!"

The door opened and his head popped back in.

"Yeah?" He questioned.

"Where's-uh-Marshall?" I asked, looking back around the room.

"Oh...you don't need to worry about him, he's being taken care of as we speak. Anyways, you should get some more rest, you're looking kinda pale."

The room began to get kinda fuzzy around me as I clenched my eyes together.

"Mmm, yeah, okay." I agreed, laying back on my bed.

I heard the door close once more as I closed my eyes.

"Marshall..." I whispered.

~~>Marshall's POV<~~

'Marshall...' Bubba whispered my name.

I smiled, knowing he was thinking of me.

I focused on Ned's mind as I honed onto his words.

'Don't let him leave, period. I'll have someone bring him food and anything else he needs, but for now, he is not to leave nor contact anyone who isn't you or me. Understand?' Ned informed the Banana guard he stationed at Bubba's door.

'Yes sir.' I managed to pick up nearby.

Mind-reading is helpful, but it gets tricky if you aren't focused on the right person at the right time.

I pulled away from their minds as I focused on my body.

My eyes shot open as I connected back to myself.

I was met with a slightly dark and musty space as I sat up and looked around.

Vertical bars surrounded me to my left, right, and in front of me.

I glanced behind me and found a stone wall with a tiny, barred window at the top. A dim moon shined a faint light through the bars casting shadows on the ground just behind me.

"Marshall?" Someone asked in the cell to the right of mine.

I turned my head over to the source, but could only make out a dark silhouette in the shadows.
