Chapter 26

Once I had fixed myself up and made sure that Blake would remain quiet I unlocked the door and went out closing it behind me. Kai was sitting on my desk-chair, looking deep in thoughts.

I cleared my throat and Kai looked up."Hi."

He smiled at me and I went to sit on my bed across him. 

"So what do you want to talk about?"

I anticipated that he wanted to talk about what happened earlier but I'm not expecting anything else. Okay scratch that, maybe I was hoping for something..

"About earlier.." I waited calmly for him to continue but I can feel my insides go crazy. "I want to apologize. I was lacking sleep and I wasn't entirely sure why I acted that way. So please just forget about it." He continued. I was so caught up with controlling  myself not to cry that I didn't notice the different look on Kai.

"Off course."  I felt myself go numb as I heard myself answer him.

He mumbled some words that I wasn't able to catch and he waved it off. "Better get going then."

The whole time I remained on my bed lost in relapsed silence until I heard someone clapping their hands. It was Blake with a sympathetic smile.

"I heard it.."

I narrowed my eyes, "Then why the hell are you clapping?"

He smirked and took a seat beside me. "It was entertaining somehow.." He leaned back with his hands behind him, he stared at the ceiling as he once again offered me the deal.

"How can I accept this deal of yours when Kai clearly and obviously just shoved me the truth right up in my face." I winced after I said it. I guess Kai is the type of guy that hates misunderstandings.

Blake scrunched his face in annoyance."He lied, idiot." I ignored him and he sighed in frustration, "He is clearly troubled right now."

Now Blake is explaining that Kai is just in the stage of accepting the fact that he is somewhat falling for me. And all we have to do is make his sensible side come out and hopefully express his true feelings.

"What do  you mean falling for me? That's impossible!" I threw my hands up in the air in disbelief.

He shook his and pushed himself up."You know what..screw it. I'm going to do this with or without your consent." With that he gave me a pat on my shoulder and left.

After several seconds his words registered in my mind."BLAKE!!"

I ran downstairs and ended up in the dining room where Blake and everyone else is. Kai was startled when I stomped my way towards a smiling Blake and sat next to him. I was glaring at Blake when Jake spoke."Something wrong Alex-kun? We heard you shouting Blake's name."

My parents ears perched up and my sisters leaned closer, eyes shining with interest.

"Nothing." I mumbled.

My parents-especially my mom- was eyeing me the whole time but their attention was removed when my sisters started sharing their work related incidents.

"So you made up your mind I presume." Blake whispered that only I can hear, I looked at him with an impassive face and he nudged his head towards Kai. He was observing us both. I can't help but feel red and looked away.

Blake snickered, "Operation on action."

So during dinner Blake would find ways to make Kai jealous while making it inconspicuous as much possible. In the end Kai excused himself and headed for bed making Jake worried since Kai never leaves early or before us.
