The next morning, Reid heads to the stadium meeting Michelle, coffee in hand. "Good morning," he greets, handing her a cup.

"And this is why I represent you Reid," she smiles taking the coffee.

"Okay what should I expect?"

"You'll have to get to know the other players, throw the ball around for the camera and then you're studying plays and getting up to speed."

"Gotcha. Well let's do this," he nods as they walk down the hall, some guys from the team walking over.

"Welcome to the best team in the nation Hatfield."

"Happy to be here," Reid smiles.

"You're going to be a good fit."

"Glad to hear it," he nods, following the guys and getting more introductions. Reid clenches his jaw seeing the man that took him out the previous season. "Nice to see you again."

"Good to see you too. Look I'm sorry about last season. Past is the past right?"

"It's fine," Reid laughs. "It did hurt like a bitch though."

"It was a nasty break."

"You're not lying about that."

"Up to par yet?"

"Yeah I'm cleared for practices and games."

Reid gets home a couple hours later, Grayson greeting him at the door.

"Hey," Jamie walks in.

"Hey," he smiles. "Ready for your girls night?"

"Yeah I'm looking forward to it."

"Good," Reid nods. "The boys and I will have a boys night."

"Sounds good. I have everything you need out."

"Thank you."

"Are you still mad?"

Reid shrugs. "It is what it is and I know you miss your friends."

"Thank you," she nods.

"Hey?"

"Huh?"

"I love you okay?"

"Its been a while since you said that," Jamie smiles. "I love you too."

"I know, I've just been stressed about the new team and finding land and then getting the house started and really just moving in general."

"I know it's been lot crazy for all of us."

"And I wouldn't want any other woman with me," Reid smiles kissing Jamie.

"Thank you," kissing him back.

"What time are you leaving?"

"I should get going soon. I'm going to get ready at Julia's."

"Okay," he nods. "Say bye to mommy," Reid says to Grayson.

"Bye baby," kissing her son. "You two have fun but include your brother too because daddy forgets sometimes."

"I don't forget him," he smirks.

"Okay maybe G is just your favorite then."

"I don't have a favorite."

"It's obvious Reid."

"Are we really going to argue about this right now?"

"No it's something I've been noticing for a while."

"I wish I had time to notice stuff like that. I don't have a favorite. I don't treat my kids differently."

Jamie's jaw drops. "Really? And I have all this time? I had to quit my job to be with them but by no means do I sit around all day."

"I didn't tell you to quit your job. I gave you the option to hire a babysitter while we were at work."

"Really? Because when I mentioned a nanny you bulked and when you offered the babysitter it wasn't sincere."

"Because I didn't like it but I never flat out told you to quit."

"No but if you don't like something why would I do it?"

"Because I was trying to compromise with you..."

She shakes her head rolling her eyes. "I'm going."

"Okay," is all Reid says, watching her walk out with a duffel bag.
