Val's pov

I couldn't sleep that night, I didn't know what it was but I felt very homesick, I wanted to go home but I knew I couldn't.

I had been wondering the huge house for the past 20 minuets, looking for something to snack on but nothing I wanted was here.

"somethings bothering you" I heard from behind me, turning around with a hand over my heart I saw Alex standing there. "Jesus Alex you scared me"

"Sorry, you weren't in bed, I thought something happened" he mumbled coming closer to me. "No nothing happened" I sighed as I sat up on the counter. "That's a lie, what's wrong?" he mumbled coming closer to me until he was in front of me, hands resting on my thighs. "I guess I'm just homesick"

"I would take you home right now baby, but you know I can't"

"I know that, it's fine I'm going to have to get used to it"

It was silent, we both just stayed there together him rubbing my thighs in a comforting manner. "I can't believe we're going to be parents" Alex smiled happily at me. I smiled at him.

"Yeah it's gonna be weird, it's usually just us two" Alex mumbled.

"I don't think it's gonna be weird, i think it'll be beautiful"

A/n

I like this chapter a lot, because at the end when Valerie said, "Yeah it's gonna be weird, it's usually just us two"and Alex said "I don't think it's gonna be weird, i think it'll be beautiful", that's exactly what my mom and dad said, I just thought to add a little something like that in because it was cute.
