As you woke from a sweet slumber, you were greeted by the thought of school and the homework you would have to gather from your lessons. You instantly forgot your mesmerisingly perfect dream that had kept you occupied for a few hours as the realisation of classes continued to take over. You groaned, looking at the clock beside your bed and prying your sleep heavy body out of the warm sheets.

Making your way to the bathroom, Pansy shot up in her bed looking startled. "You alright Pans'?" You enquired, your voice groggy from lack of use.
The black haired girl nodded. "Yeah I'm fine. Weird dream that's all. Happy birthday by the way." She acknowledged as you smiled softly and wandered into the bathroom. You weren't all that fussed for your birthday. No one had ever made a big deal over it, so you didn't feel like you needed to either. You parents were poor and always at work and so before you came to Hogwarts, they didn't have the time or money to get you anything. They were to busy at work to even spend half the day with you. But you didn't mind to much. They had to work and you understood that. When you got to Hogwarts, no one knew when your birthday was until 5th year, last year. But by the time they worked it out, the date had been and gone.

Finishing up in the bathroom, you came out to get dressed as the rest of the girls in your room hurried in and out of it. While walking through the common room, a few people clocked you and wished you a happy birthday. You simply smiled in return, not being fussed for the occasion.
Upon arriving in the Great Hall, your boyfriend Draco laced his hand in yours and kissed your cheek like every other day. "Happy birthday beautiful." He whispered in your ear, knowing you didn't fancy everyone knowing it was your birthday.
You smiled softly once more and leant your head in his shoulder. "Thanks." You whispered so that only Draco could hear.
"Have you ever had a party for your birthday?" He enquired, grazing his thumb over the back of your hand. You shook your head. "Never?" You just looked at him with wide eyes, quickly shoving cereal into your mouth with a smile. "Oh. Have you ever wanted one?" He asked, intrigued as to exactly what you did on your birthday as a child.
You shrugged. "When I was little I wanted a bouncy castle party." You told him, thinking back to the days you spent in the muggle world. Draco looked at you with confusion. "Oh, it's a muggle thing. They are giant inflatable castles that you can bounce in. Some of them have slides or obstacle courses. But when I was little I just wanted a normal one for a day." You enlightened him.
Draco looked as though he had partly understood what you meant, but there was also something else in his face. A look he normally had when he was scheming or plotting against Potter.

The school day was bland and uneventful. Aside from the point in which Seamus blew up his potion, swiftly making Neville faint and fall off his high stool he was sat on. Slughorn was in a frenzy, not knowing what to do, when Hermione had to step in and help. You didn't understand why he had to be your potions teacher. Snape was much more competent. But except for Potions, nothing really happened.
You and Draco regularly took your free periods together in the library. However, when your boyfriend didn't turn up, you began to get suspicious. After your final lesson, you walked down to your dorm where you were greeted with an empty common room and a letter placed in the pillow of your bed. You recognised the handwriting instantly as the curved lettering belonged to the absent boy. Talking the parchment out of the envelope, you read over it swiftly.

(Y/N),
I hereby invite you to your own birthday party, held by the black lake at 4:30pm.
You must come, you have no other choice. I will force you to come.
Yours sincerely,
Slytherin (+ two Ravenclaw's who were the only people who knew how to get your surprise.)

You chuckled at the letter and looked at the clock. It was 4:20. Rushing out of the common room and up the stairs, you ran to the lake to see what was going on. A wide smile plastered your face in anticipation. Growing nearer to the vast water, you saw exactly what Draco had done. 11 massive bouncy castles were arranged in front of your very eyes. Two different slides, three obstacle courses, five huge bouncy castles, a bouncy maze and a small bouncy castle fit for three young children just like you had imagined when you were younger. It was like a dream come true.
As you stood in front of the tall, inflated structures, a pare of arms snaked round your waist. "Is this the sort of thing you wanted?" Draco asked as you saw your entire house playing on the different pieces of equipment.
You turned to look at him. "Better. So much better. Thank you Draco." You kissed him hard as he smiled at your reaction.
Taking your hand, Draco dragged you to the obstacle course. "I'm so going to beat you." He proclaimed cockily.
You rolled your eyes with a smirk. "In your dreams. This is what I was born to do." You shot back.

As you got to the equipment you wanted to use, you saw two people already using it. "Is that?" You looked startled.
"Take that Minerva. I told you I would win." Dumbledore celebrated as McGonagall rolled her eyes and stepped off of the bouncy castle.
"Well if you had let me change into a Cat, maybe I would have had a chance." She stated, brushing herself down.
Dumbledore just shook his head and turned to the greasy haired man dressed in black. "How about you Severus? Think you can beat me?" He taunted as Snape gave his natural deadpan stare.
"No. I do not wish to partake in these games. I am merrily here to observe and make sure no one dies." He confirmed, his arms crossing over his chest.
The three teachers looked in your direction as a stunned stare fell over both Draco and your own face. "Happy Birthday miss (Y/L/N)." Snape acknowledged before the other two smiled and your head of house flicked his long garment and strutted away.
You blinked a few times before turning to face your boyfriend. "What. The. Hell?" You laughed together as you began walking over to the obstacle course.
Draco shrugged. "I tend not to ask when it comes to those three." He stated before setting off on the course before you.
You chuckled as you tried to keep up. This was the best birthday ever.
