Chapter 6 - Spring Day

Start from the beginning

I did my best to not let it phase me, but as the rapper finally stepped away from me, I let go the biggest sigh I could release. Apparently I was holding my breath the entire time.

Did I have feelings for him?

No.

This was just tension and nervousness. It was an extremely inappropriate situation to be in.

He's technically my boss.

Plus I could visibly see Yoongi stare me down this entire time. Maybe I was just relieved he was no longer piercing me with his icy glares.

After the wrap up of todays shoot, we were all invited to dinner at the inn we were staying at.

Arriving at the dinner hall, I was greeted with the biggest bear hug I've ever received.

"Y/N!!" Jin exclaimed, squeezing the air out of my lungs. "Come sit with us!"

He was holding my hand and dragging me to where the other Bangtan boys were sitting.

"Sunbae stop!" I let go of his grip. "People are staring.."

I was nervous and didn't want people to get the wrong idea. What if word got out, and gossip spread? I don't know if I could handle the scrutiny.

"Come on, let them stare." Jin smiled, ushering me to my seat between him and Hoseok. "We're friends why does it matter?"

The word 'friends' shot a resounding warmth within me. It still amazed me how comforting Jin could be with the little words he spoke.

"Where's Yoongi hyung and Namjoon hyung?" Jungkook looked around sheepishly, his voice barely over a whisper.

"Why are you so quiet?" Hoseok asked with a scrunched up face.

"It's 'cause Y/N is here that's why!" Taehyung replied scruffing the hair of his dongsaeng.

"Aigoo! Our maknae is so cute sometimes!" Jimin rubbed his cheeks. "You've seen her drunk before, no need to be shy!"

"Wait we have?!" Hoseok clearly didn't remember me.

"You know.. The drunk girl at the party the other night?"

"The one clinging onto Namjoon all night?"

"OHHHH!" At that his face lit up with realisation, and then amusement. "THAT GIRL!"

'My drunken escapade' as a conversation topic seem to be something that happened a lot these days.

"Umm I can leave!" I spat out, cheeks rosy. "I mean.. If it makes you uncomfortable.. I can sit with the other staff and-"

Jin threw his arm around my shoulder and squeezed it tight.

"What are you talking about?! The beef is finally here, and Kook is just being silly!"

I could feel more eyes darting my way.

"Speaking of.. What does a cow say when it laughs?" Jin looked at the others expectantly.

The others, bracing themselves for another one of Jin's dad jokes, stayed silent.

"MOOHAHAHAHAHAHA!" He answered, erupting into a roaring laugh, that was way too loud for a joke no one else thought was funny. You could see Hobi pinching the bridge of his nose while he shook his head out of embarassment.

"That's not even that funny, old man" The maknae retorted, giving his hyung a judgemental stare.

"OLD MAN?! DO YOU THINK YOU WON'T GET OLD TOO?! YA! TELL ME A FUNNIER JOKE THEN!" He said in an exaggerated voice, half joking and half serious.

"Oh yeah? Yeah? I'm ten, no TWENTY times funnier than you."

"PROVE IT GO ON PROVE IT!" Jin was practically yelling, but no one was taking him seriously.

Hoseok was laughing his head off, and Jimin was smiling nervously. Taehyung was just staring at them go back and forth.

"Umm, I'll just go look for Namjoon sunbae.." I excused myself before I could watch the argument escalate.

No one seemed to care, or even hear me actually, as I casually slipped away from the dining hall.

The hallway towards the rooms was dimly lit. The brightness from the vending machines lining up along the walls was the only thing guiding me.

As I reach the end of the vending machines, I saw a figure turn the corner.

It was walking towards me.

Wearing a hoodie underneath his leather jacket, Yoongi stood there in front of me.

He slowly halted when he realised I was just standing there in his way.

I was frozen.

My legs refused to move, even though all I wanted was to get the hell away from there.

My eyes widen as every other part of me tensed up.

The silence was killing me.

My brain filled the void by playing our first encounter.

The cold of the night.
The smell of alcohol.
His words ringing in my ears.
My bruised necked.

What I was trying so hard to forget was all coming back to me now.

"That's mine."

I flinched.

"Are you deaf?" His voice was stern and icy as the winds outside.

Walking over, he closed in on the distance between us.

"I said that's mine. Give it back."

And that's when I realised I wasn't breathing.

Quite a long chapter compared to the last couple, hope you guys didn't mind too much!

Thanks for the responses in the form of Namjoon love! Yes, I agree, he does get a lot of hate.

As always thanks for reading this far. Just over 150 views may be nothing to some people but it means the world to me!

Let me know if you have any feedback :) The comments are always open
