Cara's POV

I laid my head over the bed's headboard, my eyes fixated on the white ceiling above me, my mind still trying to take into everything happening.

One week has passed.

One week with me away from home.

One week but nothing major happened.

One week, and no single tear was shed. I think i am doing good, i am holding myself. Good. Great.

Once arrived to London, My so-called father took me to this hotel, he left me here and went away, and i hadn't seen him since then.

Which is good.

For sure he didn't leave me all alone though, he kept two guys watching me.

Probably scared i may run.

I don't know. I don't care. Not anymore.

I can hear their voices from the other room. They keep on talking all the time, i tried to listen to their words from before but guess what, they're not even talking in English-

And guess what, English is the only language i know in addition to little french since college elective courses, which is not important and I don't know why i am even telling you that.

Okay. Whatever.

Oh and by the way one of the guys is the one who tried to kidnap me once, the same man who was holding me back when they stabbed Alex. Who I newly learned that his name is Liam.

Not that i care. Because, I don't. Not anymore.

I still don't understand anything. And i think it's better. I don't want to know anything. I want to be kept like this.

I opened my eyes and took in a deep breath. I took my phone from beside me and just stared at the screen.

Should i call him ?

We talked everyday for the past week, he made sure of that. But one week has passed, he thinks i am coming today. Which is a lie, which means I have to cut my connection with him starting from today.

Which means-

Stop Cara. Don't think about anything. Don't feel anything. You can do it. You can stay strong.

I heard the room's door opening, so i directly placed my phone away and closed my eyes again.

I heard footsteps nearing but i kept them closed. I want to close them forever if i can.

I heard a light knock on my bedroom's door. I let out a sigh and lazily opened my eyes.

And there he stood,

Maxwell Andrews.

My so-dear father.

I didn't spare him a second glance as i laid my head back and closed my eyes again.

I heard him walking closer till i felt his presence just beside me.

"Cara." He said softly.

Softly- huh.

Ignore him. Maybe he'll just disappear.

"We're leaving the hotel today." He added and i kept my eyes closed still ignoring him.

"Be ready." He added, "We're leaving at six."
