"Awe you stiw sick?" Enzo asked.

"I don't feew sick anymore."

Enzo reached his hand out and felt Katie's forehead.

"You're not warm anymore."

"Weawy? I pwayed that I don't get sick because I wanna go wide the big fewwis wheew with Unca D."

I stirred a little to let them know that I am awake.

"Shhhh." Enzo shushed.

I draped my arms, extending it on both of them. They both stayed still and remained quiet.

I kissed the top of Katie's head and true enough she is not warm anymore. I say a silent prayer, thanking God for healing my precious princess.

"What are you talking about?" I whispered.

Maine is still sleeping and I don't want to wake her up, her back facing us.

"Daddy, I am hungwy." Katie said.

"How about you Enzo?"

"I'm hungwy too daddy."

"Okay, let's go, but be careful, we don't want to wake up mommy."

The three of us left the room and went to the kitchen. The house is still quiet, the clock on the microwave says it is only 5:12 in the morning.

"What do you want to eat?"

"I want some eggs daddy, the way mommy cooks it."

"Princess I don't know how mommy cooks your eggs."

"I know daddy." Enzo volunteered, raising his army excitedly.

"She uses fork and does this.." he does a beating motion, with matching grinding of his teeth.

Ahhh! My kids are so freakin' adorable! "...and puts milk and salt and then butter on the pan."

"She does that! She does that!" I exclaimed, giving him little tickles. He giggled and ran away from me.

I took all the ingredients out of the refrigerator and started preparing their eggs, Katie watching me intently.

As I poured the egg mixture on the pan, Katie walked to my side and tugged on the hem of my white shirt.

"Yes princess?"

"I wanna watch daddy, up pwease!"

I lifted her up and held her in my arm. She placed her head on my shoulders, caressing my back.

"Princess, how are you feeling?"

"I feew oh-kay daddy."

"Will you tell daddy if you don't feel good?"

She nodded her head while still leaning on my shoulders.
