Another Beginning

Alden

I am worried and excited at the same time.   Worried because I am not sure how my fans will take the news of me having twins and finding Maine.  Worried because I really don't know how Maine and the twins will take my lifestyle,  being in the limelight is not always easy.  Life in a microscope will never be easy.  It's not always flowers and rainbows, like what most people think. 

I am also excited.  Excited because I will be starting my new life with Maine and the twins.  Excited because I will be introducing my family to the world and I am very proud.

As I sit here on the couch, Maine and my twins comfortably snuggled up against me, I let out a very contented sigh. This is where they belong, right here in my arms.

"Ang ganda nyo naman pagmasdan." MamaTen said softy, standing in front of me.

He pulled his phone out from his pocket and snapped a picture of me and my family.

"Nakatulog na sila na nakayakap sa'yo." He said, smiling at the picture before him.

"Oo nga po e. Ang sarap lang ng feeling MamaTen." I whispered, caressing the side of Maine's head.

"Nakapag usap na ba kayo ng daddy mo?"

"Hindi pa nga po e. Pero plano ko po mamaya pag gising na sila sa Pilipinas."

"Ang sweet naman ng kambal. I'm sure pag umuwi yan sa Pilipinas pagkakaguluhan yan sa atin. Ang cu-cute! Pero Alden, ay Richard pala, yang si Maine, bakuran mo na agad. Maganda at sexy, sure din ako na maraming magkakagusto at aaligid dyan." He tells me.

Thinking of other men ogling and gawking at Maine makes me see red. And I can see that happening, really, Maine is beautiful, sexy and smart. Men will really be attracted to her.

"Over my dead body, MamaTen. This woman right here, is mine!" I whisper-shouted, pressing Maine's head harder on my chest.

"Huh?" Maine murmured, lifting her head up.

"Shh, it's nothing hon. Go back to sleep." I tell her, gently patting the top of her head. She placed her head back on my chest and closed her eyes.

MamaTen smiled as he witnessed my male dominance. He hasn't seen this side of me before, since I have never really been romantically involved with anyone.

"Asan si Sam?"

"Kausap ata yung promoter mo, kaya lumabas na ako ng room."  He said, moving closer and sitting on the wingback chair,  tucking his feet in and making himself comfortable, "kasi for sure, may mga nag-aabang sa'yo sa aiport pag alis mo. And since wala silang makikitang Alden, magtataka yung mga yun and baka pati yung promoter mo sumugod sa hotel."

"Oo nga po pala, mabuti na lang talaga maasahan si Sam. Pero mabuti nga din at napapayag ni Sam ang management na makapag stay ako dito ng one more week, mas gusto ko pa din na may privacy kami dito.  At mabuti na din po na dito sa America, pwede ako mag low profile.  Nakaka-miss din po kasi yung pwede akong maglakad ng walang nakakakilala. Parang normal na tao lang. Gusto ko po muna masolo yung mag-iina ko, yung ma-experience ko to be with them na wala pong nagpapa-picture or nagpapa-autograph."  I tell him, kissing the top of Katie's head.

"Naiintindihan ko yun.  Parang ngayon,  alam ko, etong simpleng bagay na ito, yung nakatabi sila sa'yo and nagna-nap,  malaking bagay na 'to sa'yo."
