Chapter 2 - Rooftop Princess

"Hey, hey, I was just.." his voice suddenly soft, "I just wanted to make sure you were alright.."

Knowingly he let go of me.

He gently placed his right index finger on my jaw. His touch, warm against my cold chin, was equally as soft as it was empowering, encouraging me to look up towards him.

As I slowly angle my face higher, he patiently followed my gaze. The corner of his lips ever so slightly curled into a gentle smile.

"I'm sorry, I know.. especially after what happened.. I shouldn't be.... like that." He averted his gaze for a split second before looking back at me. "I just wanted to get you out of there."

He seemed genuinely remorseful. I don't know if it was his angelic features, or his soft gentle touches, but I believed him. Trusted him.

"No, no.. I was just surprised and caught of guard.. Thanks sunbae.." I said as I hugged myself protectively. All my previous fears of him dissolved, and it was everything to do with the fact that he cared enough to be wary of my boundaries.

Despite being at the end of the hallway, there was still a handful of people walking past us. I only just noticed the glancing and staring. They were wondering what the hell was going on. Whispering amongst themselves.

We were right up against a wall. I was crying, he was yelling. Not a very appropriate sight for the workplace. It was a terribly uncomfortable position to be in with one of BigHit Entertainment's mainliner.

Jin noticed it too. He looked around us and then back at me, holding his gaze.

"Come with me." Without saying another word he walked towards a section of the building I've never seen before. Realising I needed to get away from all the stares as soon as possible, I didn't argue.

We reached a large metal door that looked like a fire escape. But as Jin heaved the clunky piece of tin, the stairs were revealed to be going up. He propped the door open and gestured me in with a cheeky smile.

I climbed up the first couple of steps, and let him walk ahead of me again, leading the way.

At the top of the stairs, we reached another door that could barely contain the light from the other side. When Jin finally opened the door, the light flooded our vision and I was temporarily blinded.

When my eyes finally adjusted, I was warmly greeted by the Seoul city skyline and an inviting smile plastered across Jin's face.
