Another Beginning

• TWENTY FOUR •

We entered the mall and I saw a few people inside.  The mall doesn't really differ from the malls in Chicago, and the stores are the same, except for a few that I haven't heard of,  maybe those are local brands.

"Where do you want to go first?"  Richard asked me. 

"I want to get Katie and Enzo some clothes.  Sam told me that our stuff is not coming till the end of the month, and I think they need more cotton clothes.  It gets really warm in here." 

"Okay, that's what we are going to do then." 

As we enter the first store, I hear some gasps from the people inside.  And I hear a little bit of excitement when they realized it was 'The Alden Richards' that entered their shop.  I scanned the area and true enough the ladies inside are swooning over my fiancé.  I smiled and shake my head.

So this is how it's going to be like then.  It's not that bad, yes, they are snapping some photos, but none have actually approached us.  And so I go about shopping for the twin's clothes.

"Mommy,  I want this."  Katie tells me,  holding a cute sundress that looks like my chevron maxi dress. 

"That's pretty sweetie, but that is too small for you.  Show mommy where you get it so we can get the right size."  I tell her.  She walk through a maze of aisles and display racks and finally found the dresses. 

"Mommy whas the number I wook for?"  She asked me, as she start to peruse the hangers.

"Look for 3T or 4T baby girl, and then we'll see which one will fit you best."  I look around the area where we are standing and found more shirts for her and a couple of dresses,  I put it in the shopping bag provided. 

"Yes!"  I heard Katie exclaimed.  "Mommy, I found it." 

"Okay let's see."  I kneel down and placed both dresses against her, and realized that the two sizes are still short for her height.  "Oh! Did you just grow couple of inches since we got here?"

"I'm tawl Mommy?" She looked at me wide-eyed. My daughter is so adorable.

"I think so sweetie, can you get a 5T?" I tell her. She ran towards the dresses again and started looking for the size.

"Enzo and I are done hon." I heard Richard telling me from behind.

I asked him to get Enzo's stuff.  I want him to enjoy his son, and also for them to have some moment together. And every time I look their way, I noticed Richard is enjoying himself and Enzo is looking at his father with so much admiration in his eyes.

"We are too, hon. Katie is just getting one more dress." I tell her, patting his cheek. He leaned in and gave me a kiss.

"Ma'am, I can take your shopping bag; it's getting heavy." The sales person tells me, but I see some glint of giddy smile on her face, probably because she just witnessed the kiss Richard gave me.

"We, are actually done, but here," I said, handing her the bag, "we are ready to checkout."

"Mommy I got it." Katie said, giving me the dress.

"Give it to the lady, sweetie. We are going to pay now."

We follow the sales person to the counter and I noticed that the other staff is giddier than the one that is already assisting us.  She is probably one of Richard's fans.
