Another Beginning

• TWENTY FOUR •

"This is why."  He said, sighing.

I look down, looking so forlorn. 

No!  I will not let this happen.  I know, my fiancé is famous, but there must be some ways around it.  I want the twins to live a normal life, well not as normal as what normal people will have, but still.

"No Sam.  I may sound stubborn but I will not let this happen.  We've been here for three days now, and the twins and I haven't even catch a glimpse of what's behind our gates.  I know I've been busy unpacking, and hiring our household staff, but today, I really don't have anything to do, so we are going out shopping!"  I announced, clapping my hand.

"Who's going out shopping?"  Richard asked, coming in the kitchen,  twins in tow.

"Mommy!"  Enzo screamed, running towards me.  Katie followed.

"Hey pumpkin pies!  You both are up early!"  I tell them, kissing their heads. 

"I'm hungwee mom."  Katie tells me.

"Atey Leda is fixing the table,  we are eating soon.  Go wash your hands."  I tell them, patting their behinds.

"Hay naku Richard,  talk to your fiancé. She said she wanted to go out shopping!" Sam's frustration is so funny.

"Really?"  Richard looked at me, smiling. "Let's go!"

"Eh isa ka pa e!"  Sam whined. "You know you can't go out shopping!"

"Why not?"  Richard replied.

"That's what I told him!"  I seconded.

Sam is so exasperated and so funny at the same time.

"Look Sam, we are always careful.  We haven't even tried it yet.  We can go to a mall where there are a few people; it's a Tuesday, malls are not crowded.  And besides, the fans didn't know that we are going there."  Richard tells him.

"Alright, but if you get mobbed, I will be the first one to say, 'I told you so!' Got it?"  Sam huffed.

"We're going shopping?" MamaTen asked excitedly, clapping his hands.

"Sure! Sure! Gang up on me.  Am I the only one who is concerned about your safety?" 

"Sam,  we know you do and we really appreciate that.  But,  we can try.  I promise, if I feel like our security is being compromised,  I will be the first one to bring us home.  Okay?"  Richard tells him.

"Alright.  It's one against all of you, there's really nothing I can do, but I still don't agree."

"Woohoo! We're going out!"  I exclaimed.

"Alright here goes."  Richard says, opening the door of the van.  Eric stopped the vehicle in front of the entrance of the indoor parking garage of the mall. 

Honestly,  I am excited.  This is the first time that we are outside.  I unbuckle the twins from their car seats, while Richard sets up the stroller.  I already told him that we don't need it, but he insisted that we take it, just in case.
