Another Beginning

• TWENTY THREE •

My family is here!

They are really excited to meet Maine and the twins. They wanted to welcome us at the airport, but I told them to just meet us here.

I felt Maine tensing up beside me. I rubbed her arms and kissed her temple again. "They already love you hon, there's no need to fidget." I teased.

She smiled me and nudged my side. Well at least that put a smile on her face.

"Maine! Finally!" My dad exclaimed, opening his arms.

Maine walked up to him and gave my dad a very sincere hug. "It's nice to finally meet you titow." She tells him.

Maine and the twins have already started to learn the language together and so far I see a little bit of struggle.

"Oh no! Not tito, from now on it's dad, okay?" My dad smiled, correcting her.

"Okay pow, dad." She smiled back, earning another hug from my dad.

Introductions were made and so far, all of the members of my family has met my fiancée, except for my cousin April, who is in Japan right now.

"Wait Ate Maine, where are Enzo and Katie?" Riza asked.

"Oh dear! Yeah, they are playing outside with their GrandmaTen. They got so excited with the playground their daddy built for them." She tells everyone.

I can tell, by the way my whole family is looking at her, they are all already smitten by her charm, just like me.

"I'll call them." I walk to the sliding doors that leads to the deck and the pool. "Enzo, Katie! Get inside!"

"Comin' daddy!" The twins screamed excitedly, running towards me, while MamaTen is following behind them.

When they entered, they are covered in sweat and smiling.

"Oh dear! Look at you two!"

"Mommy, I wove my swide!" Enzo exclaimed.

"Me too mommy! I have a swing outside!" Katie chimed in.

"You like the play lot daddy built for you huh? But hey, I want you to calm down, because your Grandpa, Auntie Riza, Uncle RD, lowlow and lowla are all here to see you." Maine said calmly, wiping the twin's faces and head with the towel MamaTen handed to her.

But as soon as the twins realized that we have company, they both got so excited, and rushed to their grandfather.

"Grampa! Grampa!" They screamed, jumping on to my dad.

"Ha ha ha! Oh, I love you both already!" My dad said, kissing the top of their heads.

They greeted my whole family excitedly, giving everyone hugs and kisses, and from what I just witnessed , I realized my kids have already captured my family's heart too.

"Are you happy?" I asked Maine. She is standing by the window of our master suite. Tonight is our first night sleeping here.
