Another Beginning

• TWENTY TWO •

"Your son, I think, is fascinated with boats and airplanes." I tell Richard. He looks at Enzo, smiling.

"Whatever our kids wanted to do, as long as it will make them a better person, we are going to support them." He tells me.

"I am with you on that." I settled on my seat as the plane came to a complete stop.

Sam stood up removing Katie's seatbelt. "I will check with the flights attendant first, wait for me here." He tells us.

"Mommy can I sit wi you?" She asked.

"Yes sweetie, come here."

Richard takes her hand, lifting her up and placing her on my lap.

"Mommy I wike widing awpwaynes." She tells me.

"You do?"

She nodded, her eyes wide.

"You're not scared?"

"Uh-uh, I am not scwaed mommy."

"Very good Katie, you shouldn't be scared." I tell her, hugging her tight.

"I love you Katie." I whispered on the back of her head.

"I wove you too mommy, this much!" She tells me extending her arms wide.

"Alright guys we can get off now." Sam announced. The other passengers that are seated with us on business class have already left.

We gathered our things and left the plane.

"Maine, will it be okay if you carry Enzo while Richard carry Katie?" Sam asked as we are cleared by the immigration officer who excitedly welcome us home.

"Why do we need to do that? They can walk." I tell Sam.

"Hon, we were just told that there are a few fans outside the airport waiting for us."

"Oh, okay." I just agreed, thinking that if it's just a few, I am pretty sure we can still handle the twins walking.

"No Sam, I'll carry both kids. MamaTen can you assist Maine?"

"Of course, we'll stay in front of you, that way you can still keep an eye on her."

"Thanks MamaTen. Sam did we ask for additional security?" Richard asked Sam.

Security? Why will we need security? I think Richard is just exaggerating with this security issue.

"Yes, I already did. They are waiting for us in baggage claim."

"And the van?"

"Is already waiting for us. Do not worry Richard, I have already taken care of everything, just focus on Maine and the twins." He tells him, winking.

"Okay."

When we reached the baggage claim area, I saw a group of airport security personnel walking towards us, they stopped and one talked to Sam.

I saw our bags rolling out of the carousel and before I can even tell something, Sam is already directing a man with two others about our luggages, twelve in total. Now I know why Sam insisted on putting uniform colored luggage straps around our bags.

Sam is really diligent with his job, seeing him orchestrating all these is just so admirable. No wonder Richard trusts him with everything.

I heard some screaming and saw a group of girls running towards Richard but was immediately intercepted by security. I hold on to Katie and Enzo's hand and pulled them closer to me. Richard moves closer to us lifting Katie up and putting his arms around me. I lift Enzo and he immediately wrapped his arms around my neck. I guess he felt a little scared of the screaming. I started rubbing his back to comfort him.

"Hon he is heavy, give him to me."

"In a few hon, I think he got a little anxious with all that." I tell him, raising both my eyebrows.

We waited for Sam until everything is settled. The group of men already brought our bags out, probably to be put inside the waiting van. The security is waiting with us. Sam emerges from the automatic sliding doors and walked towards us.

I can already feel some warm air coming in from the outside, every time the doors open.

"Okay guys, get ready." Sam tells us.

"Hon, this is it. We are about to go out and enter my chaotic life I am telling you about. Please don't let this scare you or make you think otherwise again. I love you. Always remember that." Richard tells me, kissing my temple.

"It won't hon. I trust you remember? I love you." I said, kissing his dimpled cheek. He shakes his head and pucker his lips. I tiptoed and kissed it. I heard the girls screamed again.

Oh dear. So this is how our life is going to be from now on.

Well, bring it on!

Richard takes Enzo from me, and MamaTen stood by my side.

"Stay in front hon, where I can see you." Richard tells me.

I did what I was told and started following Sam who is walking in front of us. And as soon as the doors open, loud screaming and camera shutters welcomed us. Now I know why Richard asked for security, a very big crowd around us are shoving and pushing each other as they try to catch a glimpse of their idol.

Wow! This is not just a few people as what Sam said earlier. There's probably a hundred of them here; all shouting Richard's pseudonym, Alden. They are screaming and waving their group's banner.

And then I heard it, "Enzo! Katie! We love you!" I turned towards where the screaming is coming from. There on the other side of all the chaos is a group of women shouting Enzo's and Katie's name, waving their banner with the photo of the twins, that Richard posted in Instagram. I guess the twins, over the period of one week, has already developed a fan base here.

I smiled. Amidst all the screaming, the shoving, the pushing, I can feel that everything is going to be okay.

This new chapter in our lives is definitely going to be exciting.

I guess this is what Enzo, Katie, Richard, and I needed, another beginning.
