It's been a few days since things went down with Shane. I had been up and walking around and so has daryl. Herschel didn't want him up, but when I was told I could walk around, daryl wouldn't let me go alone. It was weird. I felt like constantly had eyes on me and not in the bad way either. It was more the protected way and I knew exactly who it was. Heat rose to my cheeks every time I thought of daryl or how he almost kissed me that day. Atleast I think that's what was going to happen. Sighing, I ran a hand through my hair as I made my away back to the camp with two plates of food. Daryl was picking at his nails in a lawn chair. He listened to Herschel and had been taking things easy because he knew if he didn't he'd be right back in that bed. Standing infront of him, he looked up at me as I held one of the plates out to him. He seemed surprised as I smiled,

"Here"

He nodded and took the plate as I sat In The chair next to him. All was quiet as everyone ate, which was kinda weird. Someone usually is talking. Something must be up. Looking around at everyone, I saw Glenn with this kinda guilty look in his eyes. Past him I noticed Maggie on the porch of the house glaring hard at him. Yep something was definitely going on. Finishing my plate, I watched him shakily get up and stand in front of us all nervously.

"Um, guys. So... The barn is full of walkers."

My eyes widened and I about dropped my plate. Others gasped and Daryl's posture straightened. Shane growled and stormed to the barn. Frantically we all started after him, but I was gripped on my arm by daryl.

"You stay behind me" he said.

Nodding, we both ran after the others. Once approaching the barns, you could hear the moaning from the undead inside. My stomach dropped and I felt frozen as Shane looked inside. Flinching, I hid behind daryl more.

"You cannot tell me you're all right with this." Shane yelled while charging officer grimes.

"No I'm not, but we're guests here. This isn't our land." Officer grimes tried to reason.

" This is our lives!" Shane yelled.

Flinching again, daryl must have felt me shake because he stepped back so I could grip onto his back.

"Lower your voice." Glenn hissed.

"We can't just sweep this under the rug." Andrea said.

"It ain't right. Not remotely. Okay, we've either got to go in there, we've got to make things right or we've just got to go. Now we have been talking about fort Benning for a long time."Shane said but officer grimes interrupted,

"We can't go."

"Why, Rick? Why?" Shane growled.

"Because my daughter is still out there." Carol cried.

My breathing hitched as I thought about Sophia. Letting go of daryl, I found myself making my way over to carol and placing a reassuring hand on her shoulder. She looked at me with tear filled eyes and I smiled lightly. Looking back over, daryl nodded at me as Shane continued,

"Okay. Okay, I think it's time that we all start to just consider the other possibility."

Fire burned inside me when Shane said that. Growling, I spat,"We're not leaving Sophia behind."

Everyone looked at me, shocked I would even say anything. Hell I was even shocked it came out, but I stood my ground and glared at Shane.

"I'm close to finding this girl. I just found her damn doll two days ago." Daryl spat.

"You found her doll, Daryl. That's what you did. You found a doll."Shane said.

"You don't know what the hell you're talking about." Daryl glared.
