Another Beginning

• TWENTY ONE •

"Yes, I will MamaTen. Thank you." I tell her. "But I do hope that you, Sam or Richard will be with us at all times."

"Oh, you bet! And besides I'm sure Richard will not allow you and the twins to be on your own once we're back home." He winked.

"Speaking of." Sam chimed in, looking at the pool's direction.

Richard is helping Katie and Enzo to get out of the pool. They shrieked and ran towards MamaTen who immediately grabbed the towels. Katie leapt and gave his middle a hug, soaking her GrandmaTen with her wet body, Enzo following suit.

But my attention was caught by a very gorgeous man, who used his big toned arms to lift himself up from the pool. Water cascading his sculptured pecs, rippled stomach, and then down to his happy trail. His drenched swim shorts clinging to his pelvis.

"Maine, stop gawking!" Sam teased. "He's already yours, you don't have to do that!." He continued, chuckling.

"Can't help it Sam, I mean, look at that!" I whisper-shouted, pointing at my Mr. Yummy!

He is walking purposefully towards us, combing his hair with his fingers, showing off his triceps.

He looked my way and I smiled. He smiled back giving me a glimpse of his deep dimples. His gaze went down from my eyes to my body and then his facial expression changes.

"What do you think you're doing?" He tells me as soon as he reached me, looking for something.

"What do you mean what am I doing?"

"Here Richard." Sam said, handing my cover-up to him.

"Here, cover yourself up!"

"Why, what's wrong with my bikini?" I asked.

"Hon, you're practically naked."

"What? I'm wearing a bikini."

"Exactly!" He said, helping me put on my cover-up.

"Oh, okay. I got it. I got a conservative, right here!" I tell him, patting his cheeks. "Sit right here, hon." I grab another towel and started wiping him dry.

I stood in front of him, drying his hair. He grab me by the waist and sat me on his lap. "Hon! You're going to give me a heart attack." He whispered.

"Why?"

"You're showing everyone your body, body that's supposed to be for my eyes only."

"But we are on a poolside and if I wanted to take a dip, I should be in a bathing suit hon."

"Exactly, a bathing suit, not a skimpy underwear." He tells me, nuzzling our noses together. "Please hon, for my own peace of mind, don't wear anything like this again."

"Alright, if you say so."

"Mommy, I wawo go in the poow again." Enzo said.

"I can go with them,"  Sam volunteered.  He removes his shoes and lead the twins back to the pool.

"I'll go with them too."  MamaTen gets up from his seat and followed them.

"Look at this."  Richard  handed me his phone as he sits beside me on the couch. 

"What is it?"  He leans his head on my shoulder and slouched.  I love it when he's so relaxed. 

"I posted our engagement photo in Instagram hon." 

"You did?"  I said excitedly.  

"Yes, look it."

On the screen is the photo Sam took of us with me showing off my gorgeous ring and we are happy.  Our eyes shining.  The photo shows pure joy and love. 

I love how he captioned it, so simple but the hashtags says it all.

I asked and she said YES!!!

The photo already has twenty seven thousand likes and four thousand comments after three minuted of it being posted.

"I love it hon.  Thank you."

"I am going to post our photo with the twins next hon, is that okay?"

"Yes, it's okay. You know what's best."

"I've been wanting to tell the world about you and the twins,  since the day I found you,  I just waited for the right time."

I smiled and let out a deep sigh.  I am not sure of what I am feeling right now, part of me is happy that Richard already announced our engagement but part of me is also apprehensive about it.  I am unsure if letting Richard just be nonchalant about his big career decisions is right. 

Now I am questioning myself too.

What if all this is just a fluke?  What if we are not really meant for each other?  What if one day, Richard will realize that this is all a mistake?  Am I ready to take on this big change in my life?  Did I make the right decision for the twins and I?

I don't know.
