Start from the beginning

Suddenly I heard tiny voices in the hall outside our bedroom door.  Followed by the rattling sound of the door knob.  I think Richard heard it too.

We both stopped.

"It's wocked Enzo."  I heard Katie whispering.

"Hewe, lemme twy."  The door knob rattled again.  "Yes, it's wocked."

"Hon, it's the twins."  I whisper-shouted.

Richard blinks rapidly, staring down at me, wide-eyed with humored horror.

"Oh shit!"  He pushes up abruptly, grinning as he leaps up off the bed, and pulls on his boxers.

"Hon, I can't find my nightshirt!"  I whispered.

His grin widens.  He's amused, his eyes dancing with mirth.   "Because you didn't wear one, and your Gucci dress is on the floor, hon."  He kisses my forehead quickly and beams at me, as he gets out of the bed.

"Hon! Clothes!"  He picked his black shirt on the floor and tossed it at me.  I immediately put it on and went under the covers again.

"Hey babies!"  Richard screamed, as he opens the door.

"Daddy!"  Katie gleefully shouted, jumping on to her dad, while Enzo clung to his thigh.

"Hon, what happened to Enzo and Katie? I think they were transformed to koalas."  Richard released his hold to them,  both are clinging on tightly to their daddy.

"Ha ha ha, be careful now, you will fall!"  I tell them as Richard walk exaggeratedly towards the bed.

They are both laughing so hard, giggling uncontrollably.  Katie's long hair all over her face while Enzo still disheveled.  When they reach the foot of the bed, Richard lifted Katie up and throw her gently on the bed, followed by Enzo. The twin's face are all red from laughing and giggling.

"Good mowning mommy!"  Katie greeted, moving closer to me and wrapping her arms around my neck, giving my cheek a lip smacking kiss.  Enzo followed suit, cuddling on my other side.

"Mommy, why are you weawing daddy's shirt?"   Katie blurted.  I look at Richard who suddenly turned crimson.

"Okay!"  Richard said clapping.  "Did you enjoy the boat last night?"  Richard asked, exclaiming, making the twins so excited.

Enzo blabbered how he love the boat and how he would want to drive it one day while Katie talked about how the boat sway so hard and it made her dizzy.  The question about his daddy's shirt, totally forgotten.

I love this.  I love this sweet early morning bonding moments we share.  And I love how Richard is trying really hard to make the twins more comfortable with him.  Observing at how they are interacting right now, it doesn't look like they've only met a week ago.

Yes,  today is Sunday.  It has been a week since Richard found us in the play lot and our lives have changed significantly after that.  The twins have a father and I have a fiancé.

I gaze down at my ring and admire it's beauty  as it catches the morning light streaming through the curtains, sparkling rainbows of diamonds all over the duvet and the ceiling.
