[ (Y/F/N) = Your Full Name]

The pain made your heart bleed, you couldn't take it anymore. It hurt to live another moment, it hurt to breath, hurt to be alive, without him. Sobs racked your small body, as you clutched the hand with your engagement ring to your chest.

It

Hurts

So

Much.

Please,

Come

Back.

You glided across the ice, listening to another sad song (below⤵ Go ahead and listen while you read). Every recent song on your iPod sounded depressing. You skated slowly, flowing to the soft piano and angelic voice.

These wounds won't seem to heal,

This pain is just too real,

There's just too much that time cannot erase.

Every time you heard this song....

Thump.

Thump.

Your heart pounded. The tears came, flowing down your cheeks. You fell down, hitting the ice hard. You sucked in your breath. Ow. The impact jarred your spine and you instinctively curled into a fetal position, groaning. Your ear buds fell out and you just laid there, your cheek turning numb against the cold ice. You didn't know how long you were there, but it was some time. The rink was empty, so you felt no need to get up, since you weren't in anyone's way.

The sound of a skate gliding across the ice made you look up.

"Are you okay?" a voice asked. You sniffed, and miserably pulled yourself to your feet- er blades. You skated away without saying a word to the man who just tried to speak to you.

"Hey!" the skater said, and caught up to you easily, skating in front of you and stopping. You looked at him through your tears, and slowly made out his facial features.

Yuuri Katsuki.

You recognized him from watching the Grand Prix Final for Men's figure skating a few years ago. He was famous. You wiped your eyes, and sighed.

"You're crying!" he exclaimed, concerned, "Are you hurt?"

For some reason, this made you horribly angry, "Yeah," you snapped, and struck your chest with your fist, "Right here!"

You turned around and started skating in the opposite direction. Yuuri didn't try to talk to you after that, he simply followed you around the rink until you got too annoyed, and left. He followed you outside.

"What do you want?!" you turned around and growled at him.

"Wha-" he seemed very surprised, "N- nothing. Just to talk, I guess."

You groaned, and crossed your arms, you tossed your head- gesturing for him to walk next to you. The two of you continued down the street. You entered a coffee shop, and ordered two hot chocolates- one for you, and one for the weirdo. You sat down and shoved one across the table to him. The two of you sat in silence.

"I'm Yuuri Katsuki, thank you for the hot chocolate. What's your name?" Yuuri asked.

"(Y/N)."

Things continued like this for some time- every day, you went to the rink. Every day, Yuuri was there. Every day, you went to the coffee shop. Every day, you each got a hot chocolate.

It took some time, but you eventually opened up, and began to actually talk to Yuuri. About all kinds of things. Your childhoods, and passions. This time with him became the highlight of your day. You smiled and laughed for the first time in... you didn't know how long.

One day, you decided to tell Yuri about what you had lost, "I met him at my teaching job, I was the music teacher, he was the gym teacher. Our classrooms were next door to each other. We started eating lunch together and we clicked. He was my everything. We both liked ice skating, although, neither of us were anywhere near as good as you. We both loved teaching children about our passions. And we loved blueberry pop tarts. Soon enough, we got engaged, and then.... it happened. There was a car crash... I've been cold and bitter ever since. For my students, I tried to be as cheerful as I could but... I could tell I was starting to get a lot less liked than I had been. Life has been one terrible downward spiral... until I met you."

"I had someone once, he was my coach," Yuuri started. Victor Nikiforov?

"He changed me. I realized things with him that I never could have on my own. He was my everything. In the Grand Prix Final, and every thing leading up to it that season, I skated for him. I skated my love for the world, and everyone saw it. I gave him a ring," he said, and held up his hand, showing me the gold ring he always wore on his finger, "But then... there was a car accident, and he didn't make it.... I didn't think I'd be alright again. Until I met you."

You threw your arms around each other and cried. You pulled back to look at him, your arms still wrapped around him. He looked at you, and closed his eyes, pulling you into a kiss.
