Chapter 28

Alexis's POV

     It had been a long night in the hospital. Right as I got out of the ambulance, I was ushered inside. Then I was forced to undergo both a physical and mental examination to make sure I wasn't too hurt. Thankfully, I only had a few minor injuries, but the doctors decided to keep me overnight because I apparently failed the mental exam.
     "Come in!" I said as I heard a knock at the door. I figured it was Stiles because he went to the cafeteria about ten minutes ago to get coffee for both of us.
     I was surprised when I saw Liam walk through the door.
     "Oh, hi Liam. I didn't expect you," I muttered mostly to myself as I pushed myself into a sitting position.
     "How are you feeling?" He asked. I shrugged. What else could I have done? I can't say good, and I can't say bad, and I can't say okay, so what else is there?
     "How are you?" I questioned. He shrugged and smiled a little.
     "Well, Hayden broke up with me, and you're in the hospital, so I'm not doing too well right now," he replied quietly.
     Before either of us could say anything else, Stiles walked through the door carrying two cups of coffee.
     "Hey, sorry it took so long. Dad called," Stiles quickly explained as he handed me a coffee.
     "Thanks," I told him before taking a sip of it. The only thing I really needed was caffeine. "What'd he say?" I asked Stiles.
     "He might be able to pull a few strings and get you out in a few hours instead of having to stay overnight," he replied between gulps of coffee. He needed it just as much as I did.
     A doctor, different than the one I had, walked in and smiled at me. I didn't know why, but I instantly felt uneasy.
     "Hello, Alex. I just need to check your vitals real quick, okay?" He asked. I slowly nodded. "Excuse me, but I need you boys to leave for a few minutes."
     Stiles and Liam agreed and left despite my glaring at Stiles. He can't take a hint.
     "Now," the doctor said as he whipped out his knife. "Let's get started, shall we?"
    
Author's Note- hey guys!! I'm so so so so so sorry for the really short chapter. I've been so busy with midterms coming up but I have break in a few days, so I promise I'll update again really soon (I mean it this time)
