Haze Is Coming

Haze is coming,

This is crazy,

I can't find a reason to say no,

I can't find a reason to stop breathing.

The world is crumbling away,

Buildings shrouded in thick white gas,

Hills and trees whining away,

In their greatest might they can amass,

Perhaps in my narrow sense of belongingness,

Some think that it is like modern warfare,

Some unthink what they would feel though it was unfair,

Though some would just adorn their own masks;

Which is to mask;

To mask all the uneasiness,

To mask up to cope with all the unwanted stress.

What can I say,

Even my own mouth is muffled,

It is amazing to come up with all the strategy,

To nail the problem,

Yet too powerless to cure it.

In this time of extreme despair,

Some would say the Karma means more to be done,

Strength to be with many who turn to the Mighty One,

For Him to give some comfort,

To change, to chide, to chill,

For the unexpected, for the expected,

And for Hope to continue to dwell,

So that generations after generations,

Perhaps we would come up with greater resilience,

Though perhaps too powerless yet to contain the haze,

Yet accountable,

To no one but our own bodies,

And lead a life,

Safe even in prolonged dry season,

Which is still a dream,

Taking years to build,

Perhaps centuries to unfold,

Still.

Perhaps, attainable.
