i open my eyes, to see tyler and i both in the same position as we were before we fell asleep.
i don't even remember it happening, but both of our shirts are off, leading to skin-to-skin contact.
tyler's snoring softly on me with his head on my chest, hands on my shoulders.
his grips tightens on them for a split second before he lets out a whimper.
is he having a nightmare?
tyler lets out a few more whimpers. "josh... no, no, please... come back... don't leave me josh, i love you..."
i lay in shock at what tyler's muttering in his sleep.
"ty, are you okay?" i whisper, shaking him gently.
he grunts softly but stays asleep, causing me to shake him a little harder.
tyler's eyes drift open and he just stares at me for a few seconds before muttering, "thank god."
"bad dream?" i ask, smiling reassuringly.
he nods and buries his head in my chest.
"you were muttering in your sleep," i say.
tyler looks up, his eyes wide.
"baby boy, if you think i'm ever going to leave you, you have another thing coming. i love you and i would never do that."
