now that i think about it, i can never actually start a chapter without this bold text. i always end them with it but i start them too. wowie.

i need to stop ranting, you don't want to read this. what you want to read is my shitty book.

"want to hang out tomorrow?" tyler asks.

i look at him, surprised. since when was it him who wanted to hang out?

"s-sure. yeah, sure," i stutter.

"alright, i'll text you so we can figure out what time."

i nod.

silence.

this always happened. we would be talking, it would get awkward then it would just go silent.

i hated it. then, something comes to my attention.

the dare. it would be a perfect time to... do that.

"dun."

i look up to see brendon urie. he's smiling warmly at me.

"yeah?" i ask, forcing a smile back.

why did i feel so uncomfortable around him?

"i'll be taking this one away. is that alright?" brendon says, amusement in his eyes.

what does he mean?

i look over to see tyler bright pink.

oh.

i feel my heart tear but i don't know why.

"yeah, sure" is all i said.

tyler quickly gets up and goes with brendon, leaving me alone with my thoughts.

i should've never talked some sense into him about mel and brendon. then, maybe he would get over brendon and like me instead.

but those are just dreams, apparently.

"hey, have you seen brendon?"

i look up to see melanie. her hair is pink and black instead of white and black. shes wearing a pastel blue skirt and a white shirt tucked in with some white flats. a blue flower crown tops her head.

"he's with tyler," i mutter.

"oh finally," melanie sighs and sits across from me.

finally, what? i give her a confused look.

"brendon hasn't been spending enough time with tyler and it's bothering me. our art project may or may not have been late so he didn't have time to hang with ty," melanie explains. "brendon doesn't want to lose such a good friend."

the word friend rings in my head.

is that all brendon thought of tyler? seriously?

i would give him so much better.
