Finally Found You (Josh Dun x Reader)

•Chapter 32: Boy or Girl?•

Today was going to be a very exciting day for you and Josh.

Today was the day of one of your appointments for your pregnancy.

The appointment wasn't just any regular appointment.

Today you would find out if you were having a boy or girl.

You had to admit, you were excited beyond belief. And even though Josh didn't talk about it as much as you, you could tell he was just as excited.

"You got everything?" You asked, slipping your shoes on to go outside.

"Yep! You?" Josh asked excitedly, already at door with a giant grin on his face. "Of course." You chuckled, walking out the door with Josh.

The two of you got into the car, and both of you were beyond excited.

"Do you think it'll be a boy or a girl?" Josh asked. "I dunno... I'd be happy with either." You smiled.

"So would I. I still cant believe we're having a baby." Josh admitted, chuckling a little in embarrassment as he did so.

"I have to admit, it can be hard to comprehend sometimes." You agreed.

"Ooo can we pick up the paint for the room today?" Josh asked excitedly, glancing over at you for a moment.

"Josh we don't really have any money with us right now to go buy paint for the baby's room. If I wouldn't known I would've gotten my card and-" You stopped as soon as you saw the grin ok Josh's face.

"You brought money for it didn't you." You asked, already knowing the answer. Josh's nod confirmed it, and you couldn't help but smile.

You were thankful that he did, because you were extremely excited to start on the room.

The two of you were now sitting in the room, waiting for a doctor to come in for the ultrasound.

As you were waiting, the two of you talked about some decorations for the room.

"Should we go with pastels or darker, bolder colors?" Josh asked, staring at the floor in deep thought.

"Hmm... I dunno. Whenever we get to the store we can look around at some paint and see what we want to-"

There was a knock on the door, and it soon opened. The doctor walked in, a smile on his face as he greeted Josh and yourself.

He went over the general idea of today's ultrasound, and talked about the different things they may look for since they would be doing a form of a check up as well.

"Alright... Ready to find out about your baby?" The doctor asked, and you and Josh both nodded excitedly.

The two of you had just left the department store closest to your house, and you and Josh finally decided on a color to get.

This department store was practically the closest thing to your house, so you were almost home.

The entire way back, you and Josh had been talking about different things to do with your child once they had grown up. You knew that you needed to pick out names, but you decided it would be best to cover it with him later.

Josh helped you carry in stuff for the painting process. He carried most of it since he insisted that you don't carry too many heavy things.

It was finally time to paint the room.

You held the paint roller tightly in your hand, staring down at the paint.

"You ready?" You asked Josh excitedly.

Josh nodded. "You wanna paint the first roll?"

You stood there for a minute before nodding. "Yea..." You stated at the wall, a soft smile coming onto your face.

You dipped the paint roller into the paint as stood back up.

You pressed it to the wall, creating a tiny image.

In the middle of a large white wall, there was now a heart shaped out of blue paint.

You and Josh would be having a boy.
