Finally Found You (Josh Dun x Reader)

•Chapter 27: Comfortable•

[This is probably going to be an extremely short chapter compared to normal. But this chapter was planned As a filler anyway just to get the ball rolling a little bit and help with details. And thank you for 25K!!! That's insane! It means so much, thank you guys c:]

This was the first morning you and Josh had spent in the house.

You, Josh, and Tyler all managed to get your house put together by the time you and Josh practically forced yourselves to go to bed.

You guys were both tired, but you both knew there were other things that had to get done. However, after some persuasion from Tyler, you and Josh went to bed.

This made you feel complete. You were married to your best friend, and now you had a house together. It seemed perfect to you. And it was just that.

It was now about ten minutes after breakfast.

You and Josh were sitting in the living room, watching tv.

"Are you excited for the next concert?" Josh asked curiously.

The boys would be going back on tour in a couple weeks. They were having another small show just to get back into the flow of the concert style.

You had to admit, you were very excited. You had earned a place as a stagehand, and lived helping at the boys' shows.

"Yea! I get to help again." You laughed. "I like being on stage every now and then." You grinned, remembering everything that has happened to you on stage.

"The center of attention!" Josh declared. "Taking aaalll of the attention from you." You chuckled.

"No fair! That's absolutely preposterous." Josh tried to say preposterous, but it sounded more like "prepostbkuebhsu" instead of the actual word. He let out a fake gasp to try to cover it up... And it didn't work.

"Nice one." You laughed. "I tried to sound kinda fancy but... Yea." Josh explained.

"Hey (Y/N)?" Josh looked over at you, leaning towards you a little.

"Yeeess?" You asked, leaning towards Josh as well.

Instead of leaning towards you any further, Josh just laid his head down in your lap without warning, and swung his feet up on the other end of the couch.

You jumped a little, considering you weren't really expecting him to do that.

"Scare you a little bit?" Josh teased. "Oh ha ha." You laughed.

For an hour or so, you and Josh stayed on the couch watching a movie. He rested his head on your lap facing the tv while you rested your head against the couch, eyes resting on the tv.

"This is really nice... You know?" You said mindlessly, looking down at Josh with a smile on your face.

He didn't respond, and this caused you to lean over him a little.

As you did, you could see Josh's eyes were closed. He was asleep.

Your gaze softened as a smile came across his face. He was probably dreaming.

You leaned over and gently pressed a kiss to Josh's cheek.

"I love you Josh." You smiled. You didn't mind if he didn't respond. It didn't really matter to you.

Even though he wasn't awake, you still got to spend some form of time with him.

And to you, being with him was all that mattered.
