It had been a couple weeks since the conversation you and Josh had with Josh's mom about house buying.

Immediately after she left, you and Josh looked at houses on your laptop.

After a little while of looking, you found a house that you and Josh fell in love with.

The house itself was in an area that was kind of secluded, but not in the middle of a forest by any means. It was a decent sized house with a couple bedrooms, and a finished basement.

Needless to say, both of you were extremely excited about moving into the house.

And that was just what you were going to do today.

In your apartment, it felt like you had quite a bit of stuff. Even when you had to pack everything into boxes. That made it seem as though you had more stuff than you really did. Even when it was on the truck, it looked like quite a bit.

But now... You brought all of the boxes in the house. It felt kind of empty.

Tyler had helped you and Josh move all of the boxes inside, and he decided he would stay and help you guys put some stuff up too.

All of you grabbed a couple boxes and began working on them. The three of you worked on the living room first, considering the living room boxes were on the top of the box pile.

"I can't believe you guys are married and have a house." Tyler said as he unpacked a couple boxes.

"What do you mean?" You asked. You kind of had an idea of what he was talking about, but it definitely wouldn't hurt as a conversation starter to make things go a little more quickly.

"You guys have been my best friends for most of my life. And you guys got married. I'm super happy for you guys, don't get me wrong. It's almost unreal though, you know? I still see all of us as like, 12 year olds. But that's just me." Tyler chuckled, placing a couple things in the living room similar to how you had them in the apartment.

"Yea... It's kinda weird isn't it?" You stood, thinking about it.

"I wouldn't trade it for the world, darling." Josh gave you a cheesy toothy smile as he turned around.

"Thanks Josh." You chuckled. "I wouldn't trade it for the world either." You replied.

"Man... You guys are still cheesy and mushy as all get out though." Tyler laughed, placing a now empty box by the door.

"I can't help it. She's just so cute." Josh argued his mushiness as he finished unpacking a box.

"Oh god Josh. I'm happy for you man, but you're gonna start sounding like a romance novel if you're not careful." Tyler warned with a grin.

"Her hair flowed in the air as though she were riding on horseback into the sunset... It was the artificial wind of an electric fan that made her beauty flow throughout the room. The presence she shared was unlike any other. The way she carried herself confidentl-"

"You're going to make me vomit. Everywhere. All over the place. No surface shall be safe from my vomit." Tyler cut Josh off, a semi serious look on his face.

"He unpacked boxes as though he had done it numerous times. A clear professional although no training was required. He worked quietly, teasing his friend lightly about mushy romance novels. The tension in the room was nonexistent as the red haired hottie and the loaf of bread argued."

"Red haired hottie? Really?" Josh couldn't contain his laughter.

"Why can't I be something more cool sounding? Like, what even does load of bread mean?" Tyler asked you, an extremely confused look on his face.

"It's the first thing I saw." You laughed, pointing at a loaf of bread sitting on the counter.

You guys needed to unpack, sure. But food was absolutely essential. So you brought it to the house along with all of your move in boxes.

"You should've picked a cooler food! Like a dragonfruit or something. Something that sounds like it could take down a "red haired hottie"." Tyler laughed.

"You really think we're just gonna have a bunch of dragonfruit just lying around here all over the place?" Josh popped into the conversation.

"Hey, you never know!" Tyler said, knowing you guys had never, and probably wouldn't ever have dragonfruit on the counter.

"Does the store around here even sell dragonfruit?" You asked thoughtfully.

"I... I don't know." Tyler responded, not thinking about the question himself.

After a couple minutes, you realized all of you stopped unpacking the house to talk about fruit. Of all things.

"Did we just stop unpacking to have a ten minute conversation about dragonfruit?" You asked.

"You know... I think so." Tyler said, assuming the role of captain obvious in the situation.

"Well let's get back to unpacking, dudes." You chuckled, turning back to your box.

The boys turned back to the boxes they were working on, and you all continued unpacking.

You and Josh were now in your guys' bed. In your house.

It felt awesome to finally have everything settled down.

"You like the house?" Josh asked as if he was thinking about it too.

"Absolutely. It's ours." That word alone made you smile. The fact that you and Josh had something together made you unbelievably happy.

I'm glad you like it." Josh leaned down, planting a gentle kiss on your forehead. "Goodnight (Y/N)."

"Goodnight Josh." You told Josh goodnight before snuggling down into his chest, falling asleep.
