Finally Found You (Josh Dun x Reader)

•Chapter 20: Best Concert Ever•

"Are you guys excited?" You asked, looking from Josh to Tyler, then back to Josh.

"Yea! I love shows. I'm kinda excited for how big this show is gonna be though." Tyler said excitedly, bouncing in his seat a little. Even though this was a single show, they still wanted to take the tour bus. It was pretty fun, you had to admit.

"What about you Josh?" Tyler asked. Josh sent Tyler a dirty look, and shook his head with a grin. "I'm pretty nervous, to be honest." Josh sighed. "What about?" Tyler pushed further. "Just the concert in general. There are gonna be a lot of people there." Josh explained.

"I think it'll be exciting though! I'm sure everything will be better once you guys are actually on stage. And I'll get to help this time!" You said excitedly.

For this show you would be helping out on stage. Getting things the boys needed like water, or even moving things around. It wasn't anything that was over the top, but you were still excited.

It was finally show time. You felt an adrenaline rush as the time neared for the boys to go on stage. The amount of people in the crowd was a little overwhelming, but the thought of all of those people watching was still pretty exciting.

After helping get a couple more things set up, it was time for the boys to go on stage.

As Tyler and Josh walked out, the crowd began cheering. This time was a lot louder than normal, considering the amount of people in the crowd.

The crowd eventually died down a little bit, and the boys began playing the first song on their set list for the show. You didn't have it memorized by any means, but there were only a few songs on the list.

As you passed back and forth across the stage, you could feel the energy of the crowd flowing on to the stage. The feeling alone made you smile a little as you rushed around behind the boys.

This was the last song on the set list. Part of you was sad that the show was over, but you were also pretty excited to go cuddle with your boyfriend once this was over. Cuddling was pretty nice.

The last song began, and a smile spread across your face. The boys decided to play 'Tear In My Heart' for their last song. It was your favorite of course, since that was the song you and Josh has first said "I love you" to.

You could feel butterflies as you thought about it, getting ready to go on stage to help move a couple pieces of equipment that you were told to.

With a smile on your face, you rushed onto the stage near the end of the song. You hurried onto the stage, grabbing a couple pieces of equipment on the other side of the stage. This side was also Josh's side.

As you began to hurry off of the stage, the music stopped completely. You stopped right where you were, and had an eerie feeling pass over you. The crowd was completely silent, and the music had stopped. The lights slowly faded out until it was pitch black... And the crowd was still quiet.

"There's always going to be that someone who you're thankful for." Josh's voice broke the silence. 'Josh?' Your mind seemed to stop. "Someone that you're thankful to wake up to every morning. Someone who puts a smile on your face. Someone who never stops going. Someone who means the world." Josh continued. "And this is for my someone." He added, and the lights slowly faded back on.

"(Y/N)..?" Josh's shaky voice rang through the speakers as you were looking out over the crowd.

As you turned towards Josh, your stomach nearly dropped out of your ass as your heart stopped.

"(Y/N)... Will you marry me?"

Josh was on one knee, a small box opened with a diamond gleaming from all of the lights on stage.

His face was a mixture of worry and confusion as you stood there, practically frozen.

Suddenly, you began running to him, and he stood up just in time, catching you in his arms in a giant hug, being careful not to drop the ring.

"Oh my god Josh! Yes!" You said, hugging him tightly. You pulled back a little from the hug, and planted a kiss on his lips.

At your response, his entire body seemed to loosen up. "Thank god.." He seemed to shake as he held on to you. "I love you." He looked down at you, a huge grin across his face. "I love you too Josh." You grinned right back at him.

The crowd went absolutely wild as you two spoke. It reminded you of the energy you had felt before when Josh had pulled off other things on stage like this, such as your guys' first kiss.

The energy this time, though, was something much stronger than that. This was better.

"You guys are gonna make me cry.." Tyler mumbled. When you and Josh looked over, Tyler actually was getting pretty teary eyed. "Aww." Some of the crowd 'aw'd while the rest of the crowd cheered for you and Josh.

"Sorry Tyler." Josh chuckled in apology. When you looked up at Josh, you could see he was pretty teary eyed too. You reached up, wiping a tear off of his cheek as the tears started accumulating. "Aw Josh, you too?" You cupped his cheeks, and leaned in and kissed him. You couldn't really say much since you were a bundle of tears yourself.

When you two pulled back from the kiss, he looked down at you with the biggest smile on his face. "The person I love just agreed to marry me. Of course I'm gonna get a little emotional." Josh pulled you into a tight hug.

It was now after the concert, and you and Josh were now cuddling in bed. "Josh?" You looked up at your fiancé, rather than your boyfriend.

"Yeeeesss (Y/N)?" Josh replied, looking down at you.

"Best. Concert. Ever."
