Finally Found You (Josh Dun x Reader)

•Chapter 13: Jobs and Plans•

[This is a really random short chapter that's more of a filler. A good chapter is coming up reeally soon and I already have half of it done! Also: thank you guys so much for 3k. It means a ton c:]

"Alright, see you guys!" You looked around. You were now working at a pet store, and it was your turn to close. You had just said "see you guys!" To a store full of animals. You didn't mind though.

It didn't take you long to lock the door,  and you were on your way home.

You chose to walk to work for now, because you haven't gotten a paycheck yet. And no paycheck unfortunately means no gas money either.

It was about a month ago that Josh left to go on tour. The day after he left though, you had went to the pet store to pick up an application. After the interview and everything, you had finally gotten the job! Today was the last day of your first week of work and you absolutely loved it.

By the time you were done thinking of work and other life things, you were already back inside of your apartment.

You were just cleaning up from the microwave dinner you decided to have tonight.

Then you heard the FaceTime tone go off on your phone. You scrambled to get to your phone, and answered.

After a couple seconds, Josh's face popped up on the screen. Both of you got a grin on your face at the sight each other. "Hey." Josh smiled at you, obviously happy to see you. "Hey." You smiled back, obviously happy to see him too.

"How's the tour going?" You asked curiously, hoping everything was going alright. "Not bad! Everything's good as far as the concerts themselves are going. I'm missing you a hell of a lot though." Josh sighed, sticking his tongue out at you.

"Well if it makes you feel any better, I'm missing you a hell of a lot too." You stuck your tongue out at him too. "I guess that's good to know. I'm preeeetty irresistible." Josh chuckled. "Absolutely." You laughed.

"So where's the next show?" You asked. You wanted to surprise Josh by going to the next show. You had actually looked up where the next one was. And it just so happened that you were able to go! Thankfully, this wasn't a question that was out of the ordinary. Every time you got a chance to talk to him.

"The next one is in Pennsylvania next week. I'm pretty excited for it." Josh told you, a small smile on his face. "Oh cool! Sounds fun." You replied, and paused for a second. "Oh yea, I got the job at the pet store! Today was the last day of my first week."

"Oh awesome! How do you like it?" "It's not bad! I get to spend the day with tons of cute animals. So that's a plus." You laughed.

"Definitel-" Josh paused, a confused look on his face as he looked at you. "W-What?" You asked, now confused. "You're wearing one of my shorts aren't you?" Josh grinned.

You could feel your face heat up a little. "W-Well yea." You grinned, laughing a little in nervousness. "They're comfy." You said in defense. "That's all that matters." He chuckled, shaking his head. "Oh yea, thanks for the little present you snuck in my suitcase." "What are- Oohh got it." You laughed. "Mr. Tux is an excellent cuddle buddy." Josh said proudly. Before he left, you had stuffed Mr. Tux into Josh's suitcase at a surprise for later. And it was a successful surprise.

You and Josh talked for a couple more hours since you guys hasn't talked in a couple weeks.

"Well, I have to go take a shower. I have a couple of free days so I'll FaceTime you tomorrow, alright?" Josh said, sounding kind of upset that he had to go. "Aw. Alright. Go take a shower, stinky." You laughed. "See ya!" "See ya." The call had ended, and you sighed.

Only minutes later, your phone went off again. 'Tyler' was lit up on your screen. "What?" You had a confused look on your face as you answered the phone call. As soon as you put the phone to your ear, Tyler started firing questions.

"What are you doing next week, and how much money do you have." Tyler sounded kind of urgent. "Whoa whoa Tyler slow down. What's going on?" You shook your head, confused.

"You need to come to the next concert." Tyler said decisively. "I planned on it, yea." You chuckled. So this was just about coming to a show. "Good. Josh is missing you a lot. He's nearly miserable and it's only been a month." Tyler explained. "Aw.. Yea I definitely want to. I just need to pack everything into my car and-" "No no, I'm buying you a plane ticket." Tyler cut you off.

"What?! Tyler Id feel bad if you-" "Don't feel bad! I'm doing this for you and Josh both." Tyler explained. "I... Alright." You gave in. So now you were flying out there to see the boys' concert. "I know it'd mean a lot to both of you if you got to see each other." Tyler said, and you could tell he was smiling.

"Well, I have to go. Josh is about to get out of the shower. See ya (Y/N)!" "See ya Tyler!" You said goodbye, and  you both hung up.

Next week was going to be interesting to say the least. But you were excited to see Josh.
