You were half asleep in the couch in your apartment. A little while after you turned 18 you wanted change, so you moved away from your hometown. Josh had left and it just didn't feel the same. You didn't go out of Ohio, but you got away from the city of Columbus.

Conflicts between you and your mother had progressively gotten worse, so that didn't help much either. The both of you had just drifted away from each other to the point you just minded your own business and she minded hers. You never spoke. You barely interacted. So when you were 18, you left. She didn't care much and you were happy to leave.

You settled for a small apartment in a smallish town. The thought of what you had been through to get here just made you feel even more tired than you already were. One of the things you missed the most was the friendship you had with Josh. You didn't have any friends since you had moved, and your made you all sentimental about things such as that. You hadn't seen him in around 5 or 6 years. You wondered how he was doing and where he might be for a while before shaking the thoughts off.

You let out a sigh and rolled over, forgetting you were on the couch. This caused you to clumsily fall off of the couch and onto the floor. Great. You huffed, not even trying to move.

After a little while of lying on the carpeted floor, you decided to get up and do something today. You looked over at the small digital clock on your entertainment stand beside your tv. 2:37 p.m. Not early enough where you felt obligated to do something, but not too late in case you wanted to go do something either. You stood up and stretched, then began to get ready for whatever it is you were going to do.

Once your hair and makeup were finally done and you were dressed decently, you grabbed money out of a jar on your kitchen counter. It was probably time to go grocery shopping, so you decided to do just that. You walked out of your apartment and locked the door behind you.

You made your way down to the grocery store on foot since you didn't have a car. The automatic door slid open as you walked in quietly. Before accidentally distracting yourself with anything else, you went straight to the food aisles. Your eyes scanned over some different frozen dinners as you tried to decide what sounded good.

After finally deciding what you wanted, you opened the door and tabbed a couple boxes. When you backed up to shut the door, you bumped into someone walking down the middle of the aisle way. "S-Sorry!" You turned around and quickly apologized. "(Y/N)?"

It was Josh.

"J...Josh?" You couldn't believe your eyes. And apparently he couldn't believe his either. The frozen dinners you had just picked up fell to the floor as you both went in for a hug.

"God I missed you." You admit as you start to cry a little bit. "I missed you too." He hugged you tightly like he didn't want to let you go. Both of you just stood and hugged like you did when he told you he was leaving.

After you were done hugging, you picked up your frozen dinners. "If you still have some shopping to do we could walk and talk?" Josh suggested. "Not really. I'm fine with talking though! We have a lot of catching up to do!"
