Finally Found You (Josh Dun x Reader)

•Chapter 11: "Mystery" Day Two•

"Joooosh." You spoke in a hushed tone . You had just woken up, and Josh wasn't awake yet. When he talked about today's plans yesterday, he didn't seem like he had a tight schedule, so you didn't make a big deal of jumping out of bed. He was clinging onto you like a child's stuffed animal, though your arms were free to move around.

You slowly moved your arm up, and pressed your finger to his nose and held it there. He stirred a little, making a pouty face. After a couple minutes, he finally talked... Well, he grumbled a little bit at least. "Mm..." He yawned. "What do you want, punk." He sighed, pulling you a little closer to him. "It's morning, you dork. Where are we going today?" You asked.

Josh seemed to come to his senses instantly, and sat straight up in bed. He looked over at the alarm clock, and his heart seemed to drop. "Shit. Get ready, and fast. You don't need anything fancy! You look look beautiful everyday anyways, no matter what you wear. We have to come back here later to get ready for tonight, so you'll have time to change into something else if you want." He gave you a quick smile before both of you jumped out of bed. "I didn't think today had any tight schedule?" You stated as you ran around, grabbing an outfit to where for today. "I didn't want things to be rushed... I just didn't think I would sleep in as late as I did." Josh admitted with a laugh, grabbing his clothes too.

You were finally on your way to wherever you were going that day, and you were extremely excited. "So I can't just have a little tiny hint about where we're going?" You asked, poking Josh's arm. "Nope! It's gonna be a complete surprise!" Josh grinned in response and continued driving.

"Heeyyyy (Y/N)?" "Yea?" "Can you close your eyes again?" Josh asked. You nodded in response and closed your eyes, waiting impatiently.

"Can I open them now?" "Not yet." "What about now?" "Nooope" "Now?" "Nooo not yet." "Joosh." "What?" "Now?!" "(Y/N)." "What?" "Nope." "You're mean." "You're meaner you big meany face." "No, you're the big mean meany face!" "Hey (Y/N)?" "What?" "You can open your eyes."

When you opened your eyes, you were excited to see that you were at Cedar Point. On the way in, you didn't even notice the sound of the roller coasters and people screaming because you were focused on talking to Josh. "Oh my god! This is gonna be awesome!" You beamed, looking at everything as you got out of the car.

"Why were you in a giant hurry to get here so fast though?" You asked curiously. "I wanted to see how many we could ride today! I wanna ride all of them." Josh replied, also obviously excited.

Both of you were now in line for a roller coaster. You couldn't remember which one it was, but you were extremely excited. You and Josh were at the front of the line, and ready to go on the next group of seats.

"What if I get super freaked out?" You asked, wondering what Josh would do. "Well I guess I could probably hold your hand." Josh chuckled. "Well I guess that would be pretty awesome. But I don't think I'll get super freaked out unfortunately." You laughed. "You know what, how about we just pretend you're super freaked out so then I can hold your hand anyways?" He asked, grinning. "I could probably do that." You smiled, and got into the new cart that had pulled up.

It was only around 4:00 when you guys left Cedar Point, and you were kind of shocked that he wanted to go so early. However, Josh told you he had something else planned that was important to get to.

You had just walked into the hotel room, and Josh came in behind you. "So what are we doing now?" You asked. "Wear the outfit you grabbed before we left the house pleeeease." Josh gave you a toothy grin as he began searching through his clothes. "Alrighty!" You gave him a toothy grin too.

Before you guys had left the house, Josh told you to pack a pretty nice outfit to wear. You didn't know what it was for, but you were definitely anxious to find out where he was taking you.

You and Josh were finally on your way to the other "mystery place" of the day, and you were definitely excited. Both of you were wearing fairly dressy outfits, so you weren't exactly sure what you would be doing.

Josh was driving down the road, and you were looking at a bunch of different places that might be possibilities. Your eyes seemed to lock onto one of the fancier restaurants in this city. It was a well known retake and that needed reservations. It always seemed like the only restaurants that needed reservations were the restaurants in the movies.

You watched the restaurant, and Josh started slowing the car. You looked over to him, then back to the restaurant. He slowed down more.... Oh god.

Josh turned into the fancy reservation restaurant, and your heart nearly stopped. "Oh my god.... Really?" Your eyes lit up as you looked over at Josh, a smile spreading across your face. "Yea... I called to make reservations and they said that they would call me back as soon as they could. They called me back right before we left, so that's why I told you to get an outfit last minute. So... Surprise!" Josh grinned proudly as he put the car in park.

"Josh this is awesome!" You looked out of the window at the building, amazed. "Thank yo-" You turned around to thank Josh, but he had already gotten out of the car. Next thing you knew, Josh was on your side of the car and he opened the door for you.

You unbuckled your seatbelt and got out of the car, Josh shutting the door behind you. "This is awesome!" You whispered, looking at Josh with a grin. "I'm glad you like it." Josh chuckled, putting his arm around your waist as you walked side by side to the restaurant entrance

Josh held the door open for you, and you walked inside. You were even more amazed by the inside of the restaurant. It was absolutely beautiful, and it smelled amazing. Josh followed you in, and smiled at your reactions.

"Reservation name?" A man who worked there had come up to you both, and you hadn't realized it. "Josh Dun." Josh have the man his name. The man checked it in a book, and nodded. "Yes, right this way please."

"That food was amazing!" You sighed as you were now on your way back to the hotel with Josh. "I thought so too! I'm really glad you liked it (Y/N)." Josh smiled, happy that you were happy. "I had a really good day today, you know?" He thought out loud. "I'm glad I get to do this kind of stuff with you. It makes me happy." He glanced over at you.

"This makes me happy too. It sucks that you're gonna have to leave for tour so soon though." You admitted. "Yea... I wish I didn't have to go this soon either. I'm gonna miss you." He sighed. "I'm gonna miss you too... We still have a little bit of time though!" You tried to be a little bit optimistic about the situation since you didn't want Josh to be upset. Josh smiled back at you, and pulled into the hotel parking lot.

"Hey Josh?" You asked, now in bed almost asleep. "Yea?" Josh yawned, pulling you a little closer to him. "Thanks for everything these past couple of days. It was awesome." You smiled, and you could feel sleep edging closer. "No problem. I had an awesome time. Maybe we could do this again when I get back from tour?" Josh asked, but got no response. You had fallen asleep by the time he finished what he was saying.

Josh smiled, and his head down and planted a kiss on the top of your head.

"Good night (Y/N)."
