I woke up with my alarm at 6:30am as usual and after showering and dressing I headed down stairs for coffee and breakfast. My dad and brother were already up and ready and there was a bag packed by the door.

"Oh good, you're up. Listen honey I'm sorry this is short notice but something is going on at the other office that I have to deal with so I'm going to have to fly down there." He told me, reluctantly.

"Oh. It's okay. How long are you going to be gone for?" I ask.

"A week I think. I've already spoken to your aunt Sarah, and she's agreed to look after Tommy while I'm away so you don't need to worry about that. I've left you an envelope of cash on the kitchen counter in case you need it." My dad often had to go away so this was no big deal. And he trusted me to look after the house when he went away and to not grow parties or spend his money on stupid stuff.

"Is there anything else you think you might need?" He asked.

"Not that I can think of." I replied.

"Okay sweetie, well I gotta leave now so, I love you, be safe, and I'll call you soon okay?" He pulled me in for a hug.

"I love you too, dad and have a safe flight."

He and my brother left the house and after he got Tommy settled in the car, they drove away. Him leaving early was actually pretty convenient - If he'd have seen me getting onto the back of a motorcycle he would have had a heart attack.

A little while later I was ready to hop on the death machine. As I left my house I saw Killian leaning against his bike and it was a glorious sight to see. He was wearing his signature black jeans and t-shirt, with a leather jacket on top. His long hair was blowing a little in the wind and all i can think about was smelling it.

"Mornin' sugar. Are you ready for the ride of your life?" He winked at me, making his innuendo obvious.

"Gross." I simply replied. I was lying of course but he didn't need to know that.

"Here, put these on." He handed me a helmet, and a leather jacket which was little big, and I put them on. He got on the bike, then told me to get on behind him so I swung my leg over and sat down.

"Put your arms around my waist and hold on tight. When you feel the bike leaning to turn, lean into it. Do not try to resist it, okay?" He said. I did as I was told, wrapping my arms around him and he took his helmet that was hanging from the handlebars and put it on. When he turned the engine on and revved, it made me jump. I felt him laugh as I moved myself as close as I could to him and squeezed harder. Even through the helmet I was wearing I could smell his cologne and it was mouth watering.

He patted my hand with his, indicating that we were about to move. I shut my eyes tight as as he pulled away and we began moving along our street then onto towards the school. After a few minutes I pulled up all the bravery I could muster and opened my eyes.

It was incredible.

The feeling of zipping in and out of the traffic, almost seamlessly, was amazing. Because the jacket was too big, i could feel a bit of breeze flowing underneath it and it felt wonderful.

Before I knew it we had arrived at school and I was sad the ride was over. He pulled into a parking space and switched off the engine before getting off and removing his helmet. I couldn't help but stare as his hair fell out of the helmet and onto his face, before be shook it away. He held out his hand for mine to help me off the bike, then I removed my own helmet.

"So.. scary as you thought it would be?" He asked.

"Are you kidding? That was incredible!" I replied, not being able to remove the giant grin from my face. His face broke into a smile and we stood there for a few moments holding each others gaze. His eyes were just as mesmerising as they were the first time I looked into them. For the first time, we looked at eachother without either of is being angry or sad.
