In the seaside duchy of Ironport, a grave threat arises from the ocean. Prince Tobias has garnered the eye of a murderous, monstrous siren, who believes herself to be in love with him, despite the fact she's plotting to marry him to rise to power. He soon finds his home threatened by a menace that seeks to drown every living thing on dry land. Alive with witches, magic, action and humour, Siren is the first of five in the Divided Lands series.
What I Feel
Firstly, I was looking for stories that are completed. I want to read them because it can be frustrating when the writer stops suddenly and leave the characters frozen. For this case, the book cover is wonderfully done although the author's name would do justice to it, never mind that it is an eBook.
I have no idea what a siren is supposed to look like but they are supposed to have beautiful haunting voices that lull sailors into their grasps to be forever lost to the human world. This was exciting and enticed me to finish reading it. I love the descriptions and finally, I can only say this, "Well done!"
