CHAPTER ELEVEN

Xiumin's POV

"Why are you with a human?" Lay asks after Mia leaves.

"I'm keeping her safe" I respond. Lay rolls his eyes and gives me a look.

"That's not what you said when you were looking for her. You said you had to get close to her and gain her trust to take the necklace. But it seems you haven't gotten close to her?" Lay says crossing his arms.

"I know. She was gonna give it to me, but it wouldn't come off her neck. I tried and it wouldn't unlock" I respond.

"That's nonsense. It should have came off" Lay says.

"No. I'm serious"

Lay nods his head and sighs. "I believe you. You should just talk to Suho about it"

I nod my head in agreement and leave Lay in his room. I go around the house looking for Suho and find him in the library.

"Suho" I speak.

He looks up from his book and gives me a furious look. He motions for me to come sit next to him.

"Where have you been" he hisses. "You haven't been home for a month!"

"I was watching her" I respond.

"You were suppose to get close to her to take the necklace!" Suho shouts. "You've been getting weaker because you don't have it. Get it back quickly and leave her! Plus we need to get back to EXOPLANET. But we can't without that d*mn necklace"

"That's why I came here. The necklace won't come off. She's tried taking it off, I've tried taking it off too" I say running a hand through my hair.

Suho's eyes widden and he goes through the bookshelves like a mad man. He finds a dusty book and rips through the pages. He stops to read it.

"One who loses their charm becomes weak.
One who finds the charm can control and have powers as the owner.
If the charm cannot be removed from the finder..." Suho stops reading and looks up at me.

"Oh no" Suho mutters.

"What!? What's wrong?" I freak out.

"You're in love with her, aren't you" Suho says looking at me sternly.

"I'm not in love with her!" I shout.

"You are because it says If the charm cannot be removed from the owner, means the owner has fallen for the finder" Suho says.

"Well than. How can you remove the necklace?" I ask getting impatient.

"YOU, the owner of the necklace, must kill the finder" Suho says looking at me with sympathy.

I feel like my heart stopped. I put my head in my hands.

"Suho. I can't kill her" I mumble.

"You can't kill her because you love her. You may not think that because you're telling yourself not too, but you'll figure out later that you do" Suho says.

"Suho, is there another way to get the necklace?"

"The next page is ripped. But there is a page saying if an EXO has a child with a human there are consequences of death, lose of powers, sicknesses or the child becomes more powerful" Suho says.

"And why are you telling me this?" I ask.

"Just incase you and Mia decide to~"

"Shutup! Don't finish you're sentence! I get what you're trying to say. But you don't have to worry about it" I interrupt.

Suho gives me a "b***h please" kind of look.

"Sure" he mutters while waving me away with his hand. I walk away from him and go downstairs to where Mia is. She had fallen asleep on the couch. She looked so cute as she had her body curled against one of the pillows. I pick her up bridal style and call a cab. I stroaked her cheek and ran my hand through her braids.
"You guys are cute" the driver spoke.

My eyes widden. Why did I just hear the driver speak in my head.

"I'm surprised that you're not happy to see me" the driver says turning around.

I clench my fists as the cab becomes colder and slowly freezes up on the inside.

"MAMA. What are you doing here?" I growl as my eyes turned red.

"Calm down Xiumin. You have your killer mode switch turned on" the MAMA responds.

MAMA was like the ruler of EXOPLANET. It's kinda a long story. It split EXOPLANET up so they're two worlds. The young didn't know there was another world like the one we were living in. Only the elder knew. But when we were reunited again, the MAMA decided to take all the elders' powers for its own. Slowly the elders grew weaker and weaker. Some died, some are still alive. That's why we need to get to EXOPLANET to take care of them and defeat the MAMA.

The MAMA always wore a black cloak which never showed its face. It never spoke, you could only hear its voice in your head. Some say when they took the hood of the cloak off, there was nothing there but a shadow.

The MAMA turned its head towards Mia when she sneezed and started shivering.

"Stay away from her" I said through gritted teeth.

"I won't do anyting to her, yet" it says before disappearing into thin air.

I break the door open and carry Mia. As we started walking towards the city, I heard snarls. I turn around and see five of MAMA's creatures running after us. I quickly freeze the roads so it's harder for them to chase us. I take Mia and I to a subway quickly as the monsters run past us.

I set Mia down to catch my breath. Picking her back up, I get on the subway. Her eyes flutter open showing her beautiful dark brown eyes. A yawn escapes her mouth as she looks around.

"We're on the subway" I say. She nods her head and falls asleep on me. I chuckle to myself and remove the drool from the side of her lips with my thumb.

The speaker goes off telling us we're at 84th street. I put her on my back and take her to her apartment. I take her keys from her pocket to unlock the door. I quietly open the door and take her upstairs, afraid to wake up her roommate. Setting her on the bed, I get up to leave. Feeling a tug on my arm, I turn around and look at her. She looks back at me with sleepy eyes.

"Can you *Achoo!* stay for a little more" she mumbles softly sneezing, again.

I nod my head and sit with her. She lays down on my lap and slowly falls asleep. I look at her as I play with her braids.

I really don't know how I'm going to kill her. I don't want anyone to harm her, including me. Suho is right, I'm in love with Mia. I lightly kiss cheek.

"I love you Mia" I mumble before leaving.
