i groaned as i pushed whatever was next to me away.

"fuck you."

my eyes widened at the voice.

yoongi was laying about two feet away from me.

i sat up looking around.

it was morning now, the stars from the night were all gone.

they knew as soon as sun came up, they had to leave.

the moon and the stars were like lovers.

not the sun.

moonlight drowns out all but the brightest stars.

the moon wanted the stars to shine, so it never blocked out their light.

the moon wanted to show us all how beautiful the stars really were.

without the stars, the moon would just be alone in the dark, empty sky by itself.

that's why it always let them shine through it's own beauty.

despite the fact that it had enough light for the sky by itself and was more than breathtaking on it's own, it didn't want to be alone, although it was sometimes.

most times, part of the moon is hidden.

just like you.

yet the moon never leaves, it was always there.

every single day, it was a different version of itself.

sometimes weak and wan.

sometimes strong and full.

the moon understands what it's like to be human; uncertain, alone, cratered by imperfections.

yet, that never stopped the stars from being there for it.

the stars stuck by its side as much as they could.

making sure to help make that light brighter.

although sometimes they couldn't.

the sky without the stars still was lit up for the world to see.

the sky without the moon was nothing but an empty space.

without the stars, the night was still beautiful.

without the moon, the night wasn't even a night.

"in my eyes, you were the moon."

"if i am the moon, then it's your name written up in the stars."

but like i said, without the stars the moon could still shine, without the moon, there was nothing but an empty void.
