i looked at the stars in the sky.

we were currently parked next to a random empty field.

"do you ever think about the past?"

he stayed quiet for a minute in thought.

"i used to. now, i just find myself comparing the present to it." he held a small smile as he looked over at me.

i could relate.

"lately, i've just been comparing us." i raised my eyebrows in surprise at his honesty.

yoongi wasn't all that great at expressing his feelings, but right now he was doing a damn good job.

"would you ever go back if you could?"

"no, i'm thankful we broke up then." i was a bit hurt by his answer.

"-if we hadn't we would have never gotten to experience this together right now, and it's pretty nice."

a smile took over my lips without me even knowing.

"i'm thankful too, today is really great." he nodded in approval.

both of us stayed quiet again for a bit.

that was until i remembered something.

when i first realized my true feelings for yoongi, i was looking up at this scenery back then.

"i fell in love under this sky."

he followed my gaze to the stars.

his lips turned up slightly.

"so did i."
